Thoughts on Targetable CC (Poll)

TL;DR - Increasing amounts of champions that can dodge skillshot without effort call for a counter. Target-able CC is that counter.

I've been thinking a lot about the mobility buffer being used on Champions, like Yasuo, Kalista, and even good ole LeBlanc, along with the "Let's turn everything into a skillshot" design philosophy for a lot of these reworks. Ultimately, the skillshot-creep + mobility-creep piled on top of each other is making it increasingly hard to shut down champions like Kalista (who can effectively and effortlessly attack move through a fight to dodge nearly every skillshot).

So, I'm kind of in need of reassurance that the community doesn't want Hard CC to be taken away from champions like Ryze and Annie, because although these champions can get there whole combo off once they have you stunned, they make a trade-off with mobility. Annie is reliant on flash to set up most of her Tibbers-Stun Ults and Ryze has to be relatively in the fight to be able to cast his root. Also, before someone QQs about counterplay issues lets not forget all of the items that exist in League to counter CC, aka - Banshee's Veil, QSS, Zhoyna's, Mikael's Crucible. Is there more?

I encourage anyone to leave their thoughts on counterplay measures that could be introduced (or kept) to prevent extremely mobile champions from dodging all the damage your team can dish out or list why you oppose the idea with some in-depth reasons why you think target-able CC should be removed (:

My opinion is basically this:

Targeted CC on basic abilities (Ryze, Annie, TARIC) = bad Targeted CC on ults (Liss, Malz, Skarner) = fine

Considering most ults that aren't single target tend to be massive AOE nukes I think targeted CC on ult is OK. I mean I'd rather one person get hit with Frozen Tomb than have Sona stun my entire team with Crescendo, for example.

I believe it will always be necessary to retain at least a few targeted CC abilities. League of Skillshots would get progressively more annoying as more and more mobility was introduced.

There is a way of making targeted CC viable without it lacking "counterplay".

TF's stun is targeted, yet has counterplay because of the fact that he needs to pick a card, giving the enemy time to react. TF's burst also can't instakill enemies. Fiddle's fear has counterplay, because it moves the enemy away from him. Also, most of his damage is damage over time. Skarner's ultimate is melee range and can be cleansed, completely negating Skarner.
