can I JUST play my primary??

Haha I can't express how upset I am with the queue system. I Queue in for my first game (Mid as primary and top as secondary), I get my secondary of course no big deal. I play that game and then queue in again. I get secondary again kinda boring but whatever I'll play it. Queue in for my third game and I finally get mid, man I'm so god dang excited to play. Someone goes afk and doesn't pick a ban so I get thrown back into queue. I get TOP instead of mid which i literally finally GOT. So I just said fk it and closed out of league because that's some bs

Is getting primary or secondary 50/50 or is it just what is needed in available queues? I think they should prioritize primary or just get rid of the secondary all together. NOTHING is more frustrating than being given mid just to have some nerd afk at the draft screen. I am just a simple guy trying to play mid lane.

How many games can I back out of till I'm banned or can't you get banned for that? I'm probably just going to back out everytime I don't get mid. TY for responses ahead of time, I've already prepared mentally for the toxic nerds who will rage and call me out.

For your ranked games, you've gotten Mid 57% of the time, Top 43% of the time, so better than 50/50. The system was designed to put you where you're most needed, but Riot has mentioned that that approach has some flaws and is causing problems (see Fill/Secondary Support).

If you dodge in Ranked you'll loose LP, and it will count as a loss in Promo Matches. If you dodge too much in any queue, you'll get into Low Priority Queue, which is a delay (up to 20 minutes) before you can even be considered for matchmaking.

It's based on what's needed, weighted towards primary where possible.

Unfortunately whats needed means that if support is either of your options, you'll probably get that like 90% of the time, and if your main role is popular (e.g. mid), you'll probably get it pretty rarely regardless of whether it's primary or secondary.

It is something they want to work on improving though, so for example support secondary doesn't mean support all the time.

Primary is if there are 2 people, 1 pri top 2nd mid and the other pri mid 2nd top. Otherwise no.

But fear not my friend, there is a way to almost always get your primary!

Set it to support lol.

TY for your responses, I'll just suffer through it and maybe pick support as secondary if that would help. Tyty

there is no priority between primary and secondary. they are treated as equal and riot will throw you into whichever it can first. support is the most needed position so if that is an option you are almost garenteed to get it.
