When you fall behind as LeBlanc..

I've been playing LeBlanc.. a lot of LeBlanc. The thing is - she's great at carrying when you win your lane, but it feels like LB has by far the absolute biggest disadvantage and the smallest chance of success if she falls even the slightest bit behind. Already LB is like a ticking clock where you have a small window in the game to make any kind of impact, and if you fall behind you don't even get that opportunity.

In games where I end up getting jungle ganked or make a miscalculation and give up first blood, I want to alt f4 right then and there because that pretty much signifies the end of any possible impact I can make. If the opponent is like Zed or Yasuo.. lol. If it's Syndra, you can't even step in lane or she presses R and deletes you without needing any other spells. And so on and so on. Once it gets to the point your entire combo does less than 40% of their HP, yet a single spell of theirs cuts 1/4 your HP, what the hell are you supposed to do??

Almost always, they will use that gold to rush MR, at which point if you try to trade, you'll always lose, and if you farm, you get harassed out of lane. If you try to roam you're too weak to do anything, and if the mid lane follows you get blown up because LeBlanc is made of tissue paper. Obviously, this causes a snowball effect on every other lane when that mid goes and ganks everyone, and inevitably ends in 4 people flaming you because 'only scrubs lose lane as LB'. If you lose to Annie and she goes out of lane, you can ping spam all you want that she's missing, it won't stop your team flaming you when she leaves lane and kills your adc, and there is nothing you can do to stop her, because she can be waiting in any bush to surprise you with a tibbers stun and instant death.

When teamfights roll around and LB is behind, it feels like doing -anything- will just get you killed since you do zero damage without items, and you have to jump right in people's face to do anything anyway. Even a fed LB dies in 2 hits, so a LB that is feeding will just die immediately. I try to split push at this point, when my entire team flames me for not jumping in teamfights and getting instantly blown up instead.

Almost always, without fail, an early death on LB leads to automatic loss and 4 reports from your team.

How do you not completely give up after a mistake in lane as LB?

You don't. She's an extremely volatile champion by design with a kit essentially designed to out trade, heavily burst, and win lane. It can be pretty hard to lose lane as her. However, on the flip side, if you do lose lane, you will be pretty underwhelming and your biggest utiltiy will be to heavily damage/kill the carry or be an E bot/W bot by peeling your carry or blowing CDs. Your best bet is to always just leap on the ADC if you ever fall behind. I've found that the ADC will always melt, or just about, no matter what level of fed or underfed you are.

I find this really to not be the case. This is what my team spams in chat to do, but it simply doesn't work. If their ADC is doing well and your team is behind due to their mid ganking, they will have a solid frontline to insta-stun you if you try to go in.

And even if you do, you're behind with shitty items, so your entire combo does maybe slightly more than half their HP, which they just lifesteal back immediately after your pointless death.

With LB being as squishy as she is, she's actually pretty risky in lane. If you have a Shaco jungle, or a really difficult mid lane like Syndra, Zed, or Yasuo, it can be very easy to die in lane because any of their spells will take off a shit ton of your life, while you have to land a combo which every one of them has a tool to counter.

Well, if your team is behind, assassins in general tend to fail as they don't offer team wide service that a fed front line or ADC or bruiser may offer. Leblanc especially so as team fighting is a strong weakness. Now yes, as LB, you cannot initiate on the ADC, but hovering for the right moment often works for me. Sometimes I'll wait 5-10 seconds on the other side of a wall just waiting for the ADC to misstep in a team fight or the peel to get just a bit too far. It's not always about jumping in when everyone else does. As Leblanc, the enemy peeler is waiting for you. They don't care you just caught out Nautilus or Jax. They're waiting for your fairy ass to come out of the jungle dick ablazing. However, they can't wait forever and will eventually, that time span being subjective, try and assist in the team fight. It will almost always happen. However, by this time, maybe the fight is lost and maybe not. It's all very situational, but in one of my recent games as LB, I was an uncharacteristic like 2/4/7. I was poorly performing, but I still jumped on the ADC as much as I could and still made a difference because LB does have the damage mid game no matter what. It took being crafty, which is expected of her, but it still is doable.

A Shaco jungle requires to always have a pink up and to try and only use your ult/w if you know he is not anywhere near. Proper wards can usually spot a Shaco gank, contrary to popular belief. Vs a Yasuo, you always want to make sure you break his passive with autos, which often bait the wind wall. When both are down, he's at your mercy unless there's a lot of creeps. Always poke Q-W when you can and at some point he will be too low to engage. Although windwall is strong, your W and mimic W chunk hard so he can never just fully negate you. Never go ham when he has windwall up. Vs Zed, this is a huge skill match up in favor of Zed. It's all about knowledge of his shadows and timing of your W and mimic. Abuse his shadow CD which is easily baited, your CDs are nothing alike. Syndra is actually favorable to you in that you can dodge most of everything with good W's, and she can't quite react to a basic all in poke combo of W-Q-Q-E or something of the sort since you can fire it off so fast and her combos take set up time. Not saying it's impossible, as she may be able to read you, but it's definitely in your favor. Rush Abyssal Scepter, namely negatron cloak first and you'll see a MASSIVE reduction in damage taken.

How the fuck do you infer the OP wants a buff on LB when he clearly asks for advice?

You swap from being overly aggressive to farming while harassing to keep them from being able to do whatever they want to you. Never go completely passive or you'll lose automatically.

The thing you have to think about is that assassins are high risk high reward. They're meant to not do well if they're behind. Your job is to figure out how you get back to a good spot.

That's the way Leblanc and most other assassins play. They need kills to remain relevant in the game and if they get behind they are not relevant.

I would even say this is especially the case with Leblanc. A behind Leblanc literally becomes a 4v5 and I actually do not like paying with them on my team because if they can't blow somebody up they are useless. They basically turn into wave clear bots. At least Zed can split push.
