Stats 25 AD Unique passive: Ancient power: Grants a stack of ancient power each minute the champion is alive, max 20 stacks. Each stack grants physical damage on basic attacks equal to 5% of your bonus AD. (Max stacks= +100% bonus AD on basic attacks) This damage is not affected by Thornmail, Life steal or Critical Strike.

Just an idea that came to me during late night drowsing lol.

Um...I'm not sure what to say.

This is simultaneously incredibly overpowered once it gets fully stacked, and incredibly useless up until about the 10 stack mark. That's...well, that's not a good way to balance something, EVER.

I'd offer suggestions, but I think the concept is just too broken. It might have some merit as a Rod of Ages type thing where it grants a SET amount of bonus AD per minute, but as it is this item is way to swingy on things that build huge amounts of AD, and useless on anything that doesn't want to buy huge amounts of AD. It's a terrible early purchase as you'll waste gold on power that won't kick it until you've spent a lot MORE gold, but it's also a terrible LATE game buy, since it has to stack.

Interesting concept (interesting, but ultimately not a GOOD concept), but poorly implemented and, I feel, not suited to League.

You make good points.

The original idea was an item that granted bonus physical damage on hit, but was unaffected by Thornmail, life steal or crit. The idea was meant to be a solid AA item without falling into the critpit. But how to pull it off has so far escaped me.

I wanted it to be a powerful AA item, but simply buying an item that suddenly grants you 100% bonus AD on all basic attacks would be pretty insane. I just don't know. I'm not quite ready to give up on the idea and am more than ready to alter any stat, but I'm struggling to come up with a way to properly implement it.
