Marksmen rebalancing idea.

Marksmen, balancing mobility with range. Allow less mobile marksmen more range to allow them better harass capabilities. This allows mobile marksmen to jump in for short trades before jumping out, but gives the immobile marksmen a means of fighting back or even trying to kite the more mobile marksmen. Setting each marksman' range based on their mobility we could potentially change the ADC meta and open it for considerable opportunities. Example.

Ashe Varus Being among the most immobile would have the longest ranges.

DravenJinx MissFortune Sivir Twitch Slightly less range due to mobility from movement speed boosts.

Vayne Graves Corki Quinn Access to decent mobility gives them less range, but not a huge factor.

Kalista Lucian With the highest mobility, would have the lowest range, forcing them to rely on skill shots as well as using said mobility for trades.

I hadn't thought of making the range differences too large. Between 25-50 range between each tier would be a more than noticeable difference. There are obvious champs that would be a trick to balance Caitlyn Tristana Urgot Still trying to figure out where they would fit in within this idea.

Edit: I did not include all possible marksmen when putting this together. This is a rough idea to try and put a bit of a trade off in place when choosing an easy to position mobile marksman, or a position centric immobile marksman. Obviously the idea needs a lot of thought and tweaking, but I feel it would give a lot more incentive to immobile marksmen in champ select.

I can agree with at least one thing, Kalista should get a range reduction.

Doesn't she have 500 range? Which is the lowest for an AD carry? Even so, I kind of agree.

And for Caitlyn, even though she does have acess to several escape methods, flat out giving her horrible range would be a bad thing if your trying to make everyone happy. Caitlyn's identity is her ridiculous range. And riot kind of has a stance of "Not removing a champions core playstyle unless 100% nescesarry" And Caitlyn isn't really in a bad or toxic spot.

For Urgot, he isn't really an AD carry. He is more of a ranged bruiser.

She has 550 range I think (according to the wikia page)

Which is really middle of the road for ranged champs, but for someone with Kalista' mobility, it seems a bit much. Even a 25 range reduction would make a significant change. Heck, Lucian' range is only 500.

Actually that is the average....

He fits in with those tricky to balance as a lot of his range comes from Bio-Arcane Barrage.
I really have no idea where he would fit. Being one of the most immobile champs in the game, he'd have the highest of range, but with his W active, his range would go past vision range which is pretty wow.

The problem with Ashe, though, is she'd become too overbearing. As soon as you dashed in to "trade" if you had to back out, she'd be able to harass you all the way back to your tower as she could slow you indefinitely. It is the same problem as with old phage, but hers is 100%. Either that or the champions who dash into her have the ability to beat her if she keeps trying to trade (though most of them work that way already). Just giving her a free range increase would make her a problem in other places outside of laning phase or allow her to go to other lanes. She already has a decent enough kit, so free range will just make her a problem and get her nerfed in return. As for Varus it could work, but I think the trade off would have to be to lower his Q range.

You do have a point, not to mention Ashe already has a pretty decent amount of range, 600.

The idea is really to try and give trade offs, give immobile champions something to make them a bit more alluring as picks. With immobile champions, positioning is key, so I figured having better range would allow for slightly safer positioning and give a bit more strength to immobile marksmen.
