I like Riot. They're fun ^^

First, we must give praise to the one who called it; and, second we should be happy its a support.

Jungle Bard? Let's place bets on how soon people are going to try this XD

Blue Moon Wolf4 votes

from what i'm getting, hes a support... but he wonders around instead of staying bot... so technically he's a hybrid of support/jungle. In other words, you can have a jungle and still have him on a team as support since he doesn't need to go for camps.

PoisonedPeace9 votes

I think the phrase you're looking for is "roaming support"

I think the phrase you're looking for is "Wandering Caretaker." Huehuehue.

This made my day, hahaha

I like how Riot is at least making champions have more situational mobility instead of just straight up dashes; Rek'Sai was a decent start, Bard is a sign of more creative things to come, I think.

MarhsallLee675 votes

Although I agree that not all of the high-mobility champions are not nearly as cancerous as they could be (with a few exceptions Kalista ), I still wouldn't be surprised if we get a champion where their passive allows them to dash via right-clicking and has no cooldown.

Rek Sai

Situational mobility

Rek'Sai has situational mobility ON TOP of reliable mobility lol.

MrBuffington5 votes

lol true, but even her reliable mobility is more situational than a lot of champions who just have a super quick dash/blink without any constraints, lol.

TonyTonyMordecai3 votes

Not to mention people barely ever take out her tunnels when they see them anyway, giving Rek'Sai more escapes. Seriously, did anyone even watch her champion spotlight?

Ariel the Cruel6 votes

Probably the same people that watched the Thresh spotlight.

. . . And STILL never grab the bloody lantern.

Slaaneshine4 votes

If Rek'sai decides she's going in, she's going in and pretty much has to stay there until it's over. Or, you know, the other person just blinks away in an instant.

Horrow2 votes

This argument of "X is going in and has to stay in" is stale and outdated. Its laughable even, given that every is taking flash.

"X is going in and has to sta- oh, nevermind. They flashed out."

AbodyHUN6662 votes

Her tunnels at least have fixed range so enemies can juke towards her too.

Didn't Riot forget about something with this new champions? Where's the knock up?

Don't care! I'm too happy rejoicing over the fact that Yasuo isn't listed in the Synergy section!

Meddler confirmed a few days before release that the next several champions would not have displacement abilities.

Im not going to sup with him im going to roam with him and just place health things around the jg and help lanes tower dive

New role in the meta:Roamer

Kouga9 votes

Old* role, actually. Roamers used to be a thing before junglers were a hard requirement.

Ariel the Cruel4 votes

They used to be a staple of the NA meta. The current meta was developed on the EU servers.

Volt Cruelerz6 votes

It's an interesting solution, but I'm concerned about the implications. Many champions have previously been balanced around high-damage with low mobility. Now you're going to have Annies, Warwicks, and the like dropping on your head from every which way.

Pryotra7 votes

Considering those champions have been left in the dust, I don't think this is a bad thing.

terkmc3 votes

Here i was chilling in the jungle, then suddenly Mordekaiser jumps out of nowhere, 100-0 me and made me his bitch. RITO PLOX

EchoezOfRain6 votes

My main worry about his passive mobility is the randomness of it. It could really be a matter of live or die, and there's no telling when or where you might get

Arveanor6 votes

When everybody is mobile... no one is.

Pryotra5 votes

Well, This is a fun champ, isn't it? With such a focus on equal opportunity for both teams, this may just replace blitzcrank and anivia as the trolliest champion in the game.

Junkο4 votes

I honestly feel like he has too much trolling potential with E and R. But he would be overloaded if they weren't how they are. I guess we will see.

Onegarion3 votes

Thats adding to the skill of the player though. You have to be able to land abilities right and not screw over your team. Its also why his R is a lobbed ability and not instant. Being able to land those right will separate the good from the bed.

Albireo4 votes

Well it needed to be as overload as tresh, and looks like he is. His ultimate feels problematic, it's a free aoe zhonyas, but if he misused can make all the team killed.

junglerboy161 votes

it is also a free AoE stun as well if cast on enemies, and can affect turrets (allied or enemy).

Narasimha5 votes

Its not an AOE stun, since it also prevents damage. Meaning there is a very high chance to mess up your own team's actions.

Tin Tarantino4 votes

He can Zhonias allies and enemies at will, I can see this being abused

Malicious Fury4 votes

Zilean A champion that gives others mobility? Never heard of that...

Partholonian11 votes

Orianna A fascinating idea, don't you think? Kayle Maybe it would be better on a mage than on a support. Lulu Why not both? Galio An ability like this won't do you much good if the rest of your kit isn't solid. Trust me on this one. Nami That depends on how often you can do it, doesn't it? Karma Or on how many people you can help. Sona .... Janna Why settle for only some of the time? item 3069 item 3800 item 2051 Guys. Get over yourselves. Anyone can give mobility. Thresh But the really special thing is he can let allies go through walls.

Poptart Kitten3 votes

when he's released im not playing solo q....his ult scares me

Radnar the bold2 votes

He seeeeeeems awesome but if ya think about it is he?

PASSIVE- is nice for movement and almost like Thresh going after souls, but those bells are scarted all of over the map and are needed if you want to do more damage, which makes it hard for him to do anything besides jungle or support. Also do you really think adcs will be okay if their support says "okay have fun im gonna get some bells".

His other passive is like lulus passive but needs the bells for damage.

Q- i love this because if landed right it stuns and does damage and is similair to Lulus q which shoot out (besdies the stun part) W- Place them all near the turrent and its like your adc has a gatorade stand.

Problems though E- can allow enemies to pass????? whats the point then! thats like allowing enemies to use rek sais portals. If enemies can pass then its like creating a new opening for them to chase you. Yes its faster but they still are following you AND you cant even use this in lane(you cant use it to as a way for your jungler to gank because hello the river?)

R- seems problematic and trolly. Id mostly use it so top the enemy from running or chasing. Using on allies would only be good to save them i guess.

It'll be good for backdooring, ganking, stealing dragon/baron, etc. It'll also be possible to bait unwary opponents into chasing you into the clutches of your team.

It's not an escape tool, though.

Can't wait for everybody to whine about his low scaling.

Wait, is his scaling even going to be low? (Herp derp)

Kuroi862 votes

Well he's got two damaging abilities, his passive and his Q, I expect he may have low initial damage on his passive with it scaling pretty high through the game. His Q may not have high initial damage, but with it being able to hit two opponents, it could possibly add up. It's possible that he could scale pretty hard in the right hands, though don't expect him to be going mid to burst people.

Onegarion2 votes

I want to see if he would be a good CC tanky jungler. His kit seems like it could work, but it would all come down to the numbers. With his stun for jungle camps, heals, passive so he can roam faster. His ganks would be great with his E and R. It obviously would come down to the early game and if he has the sustain/tankiness and damage to survive in it.

Only passive+Q deal damage. Q is a stun, so I kinda doubt it is going to be on a very low CD. So unless his passive works wonders, he won't have teh damage to clear the jungle, or solo-lane.

Onegarion4 votes

Thats why he wouldn't be a Damage jungler. He would be a tank. You would run Tank Jungler runes/masteries and probably start krugs. It really doesn't matter if he only has 2 damage sources. Its already irritating me that its the only thing anyone says. At lvl 1 its more than most junglers already and the Q adds a stun meaning easier jungler clears. Try chaining that stun in between the passive from Krugs and you are stunning them for a very long time. They won't have time to deal damage to you.

He can preset his shrines to heal and to move around while doing camps to keep up health and to move along. Clearly though he would act as a ganking jungler not a farming jungler. His gold would come from successful ganks and kills.

He would probably be built in a manner similar to amumu for tankiness, but maybe picking up a few more/different Damage items.

JØJł1 votes

Correct me if im wrong but I dont think he can use his R on camps just because it makes them untargetable so it really wouldnt be that useful? I dunno. The first time I saw him though, I thought he could be a jungler as well.

Onegarion2 votes

Why would he use his ult on camps? If you are talking about the stun thats on his Q and the ult has the stasis/zhonyas element. Also he can use it on camps/dragon/towers/Baron to stop damage to him for a bit. Its more of a strategic use than anything. So i'm not completely sure what you mean by your comment exactly, but I hope that addresses it.
