Riven Buffs are overkill
What if instead of adding more damage riot tried to balance riven by making her animations smoother? Would it work well u think?

As a Riven player it would be nice if her animations and hit boxes got smoothed out and clarified. I'd trade the damage buff for that any day.

Agreed. Her animations are actually really weird There have been many times I see and hear autos landing and I'll do my next attack and I'll find I have several stacks of my passive when I meant to use each one as I got them with no stacking whatsoever. Cleaning up her animations would reduce so much trial and error.
"just make her animations smoother" is pretty hard and probably requires a VU.
Also her "overkill buffs" are almost nothing.

I agree her buffs weren't very strong. But I would still trade them for improved visuals.
who wouldnt?
Im not talking about visual changes really i mean allow for more freedom within her combos. Right now theres a lot of animation canceling but how cool would it be if any skill could be used to cancel the ending frames of the skill before. Maybe to balance this there could be some subtext saying this only appleis if riven hit something with her ability. I think riven's damage if balanced around this would make her more fluid to play for experienced players and more forgiving for new players as riven's animations can be hard to learn for some. If it's too oppressive we can try tuning the damage?
