So I've heard that Pantheon is "free lo" yet when I play him I completely fail.
How do you "free trade" with him when his abilities cost so much mana? I feel like unless I proc Thunderlords, its not even worth using a single ability to poke (they'll just heal it back while my mana gets chunked).
Also, I thought Renekton was bad late game but this guy falls off even faster and he can't even be built tank.
Is Pantheon even a good pick into Darius and Tryndamere?
NinjaGuy693 votesPantheon should be beating Tryndamere prior to level 6, and if you played the match up right, then you should be beating him even after that. If you dodge Darius' Q then Pantheon should also beat him as well.

The point of taking Thunderlord's Decree is that you eventually want to proc it in lane to have a larger burst, however, you need to be careful about how you trade so you don't use up all of your mana. One thing you can do with Pantheon is to stack your passive, then walk into a bush. When they get close, stun them from the bush, use your Q then auto them to proc Thunderlord's. At the same time this helps you to avoid pushing the wave with E so you can save it to push before you go back to base.

RookPusher1 votesIf you don't maintain kills on Pantheon, then he's hot garbage. When I jungle with him, I'm ganking 75% of the time.
Max W, Don't disregard AS since it helps proc your passive, and poke with your spear. I use his spear fan sparingly.
Jbels1 votesYou need to poke with spears at first. You can't all in until atleast you have all 3 abilities. You need the stun from W and the crit on your Q and autos from E passive. Throw spears at them and zone them away from farm, and if they get low enough from you doing this, kill them. If not, just continue to zone them away. Denying farm is in many cases just as good as killing your lane opponent.
