"ADC is easy; all you do is right click"
-People who have never played ADC

"League is easy; all you do is press a few buttons."
Never were truer words spoken.
Like you do something else in other games.
Nah, that's just confusing LoL with Tekken.
"Support is easy; all you do is click buttons to protect me"
-ADC mains who have never played support.

people who say this are divided into two categories:
shitposters that say this to bait reactions from typical egotistical support mains who believe they're the most important person on both teams
Basically yes, supports are the most vital role in every single team for a few reasons:
If you think Supports are just a waste of space, then fine. Next time I go support in your team, Ill go top lane and leave you to 1v2. You got it anyway, Mr. ADC main. Even Sky thinks the same:

bad ADC mains who legitimately believe this
They are, and they should.
And imo, my comment is based on the majority of {r{champion:67}} players who tries to be a jack-ass by going 1v5, thinking her support has all the tools to keep her safe.
Oh, and did I not mentioned the majority of Vayne players I said above are the types who are:
Basically yes, supports are the most vital role in every single team for a few reasons:
- we keep you safe in laning phase.
- we secure map visions for you.
- we're a backup role for tank champs, in case of champ picks like top Riven or jungle Kha.

Well said my friend.
I understand support aren't useless and they are as valuable as any member of the team. But what gets me is all these stupid posts saying that they are the most important person on the team and glorifying supports to the point where its just stupid.
Based off of these boards, I'm starting to think supports have a bigger ego than some ADCs now.
when it comes to this board, they do.
it's hilarious to hear all these support mains whining about how no one kisses their asses for playing their role and how every adc they go bot with is a drooling moron who needs to be kept in a crib with a helmet on.
Not all adcs just right click. All rightclickers are easy though! LIKE VAYNE! No one else really. Vayne freelo. Nerf plox. All other adc champs have complex mechanics beyond rightclicking!!!!!!!!!!
~G&B.
(By this argument one could also say 'Annie is easy because all you do is mash a few buttons' ~every person that got killed by Annie, but I won't go that far.)
FTR: This post is satire. That basically means sarcasm, btw.
As a sorta adc main Vayne is one of the hardest adc's to play because her positioning will either kill her or keep her alive. As Vayne if you step in the wrong direction your dead. Want an easy adc play Ez (whose entire kit is skill shots, but still).
Adc's are not easy or OP but .....
Adc's are not easy or OP but .....
Everyone complained about Kalista, she got nerfed. Now Vayne, which she's been as it is since freaking season 3 if i remember. Only a buff occured in this time, no1 complained. Ppl will find something new to complain about always
"nerfed"
Kalista is still one of the best, if not the best ADC in the game. Literally all that nerf did was make her DPS slightly more focused on Rend. Which was most of her DPS anyway.
ADC is very easy if your team protects you...if they don't there is not much you can do anyway.

if you have poor positioning and don't know how to kite away from unavoidable gap closers, your team can't protect you
And this doesn't apply to midlaners or any high damage dealers aswell?

i never said it didn't. having a team that can protect you doesn't matter if you're not putting yourself in a position where you can be protected
it's more important for an adc to stay in position because not having one means you lose out on most objectives
So basically you are saying adc is hard because it requires you to not be retarded and get caught?
[{quoted}](name=A bad Malzahar,realm=EUW,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=rXLZGkzd,comment-id=00080000000000000000,timestamp=2015-08-15T18:05:33.944+0000)

... this board gives me so many incurable diseases sometimes.
the point you brought up was that adc is easy if your team protects you. that's the only thing we've discussed so far.
if you think that you can be mechanically inept, situationally unaware and outright new to adc and still be largely successful, you go right ahead
No, I am just saying adc is easy to play and doesn't require more mechanical skil or positional awareness than other roles. I don't main adc, I play all roles in ranked (Plat III atm) but mostly jungle or top but whenever I go adc I never have a problem with doing well...you are basically protected by your whole team and just pick up kills.
Of course good adc players can do a lot more but adc in general is not a hard role.
[{quoted}](name=A bad Malzahar,realm=EUW,application-id=3ErqAdtq,discussion-id=rXLZGkzd,comment-id=0008000000000000000000000000,timestamp=2015-08-15T18:26:43.953+0000)

lol
Yes, accept the facts. Some adc champs are hard to play, some are less hard to play but the role in general is definitely not hard if you have a good understanding of the game in general.
This. Yeah, adc can be hard to someone who's new or not great at being aware of the situation, but adc's ask yourself this question: Is the support I'm playing with competent? If yes, realize that they're not only aware of their own situation, but of your situation, the enemy support's situation, the enemy adc's situation, and both jungler's situations as well- because you're busy farming, they have to make sure that the enemy adc can't farm well, you don't get caught by the enemy support's CC, and that your jungler can get successful ganks while making sure the enemy jungler can't. It's like we help you do your job while simultaneously helping another do their job (or 2 if we do the right thing and gank midlane a few times) AND hindering 2-3 people from doing their job. Oh and on top of that we have to take blame when any of the above goes wrong and give up glory when it goes right. But hey, at least I've had this nice fancy teamwork ribbon for a couple years.
Alright so before all the support mains go saying "Oh you don't play support so you are nothing but a dirty adc main" look at my most played champ and see that is a support. I also basically only played support pre-30.
Many supports have this idea that ADCs blame supports if the support doesn't play perfectly, which is straight up not true. ADCs get mad when you are actually contributing -100% to the lane (getting caught, not harrassing, not prepping cs, not warding, etc.). They do not expect you to fix every one of their mistakes. They do expect you to at least be relevant in the lane. In fact I have had ADCs who flash in front of Cait or Jinx ults if it looks like I will die, and have done the same when I play adc.
And before some support is all like "Well I had this adc..." STOP. I've had some truly bad support. Like REALLY BAD. As in a Thresh missing 17 relic stacks in a row (forcing me to push the wave if I actually wanted gold). I've had a Morgana that got hit by Blitz hooks so many times that she had 7 deaths before 10 min, at which point I told her to not come back to lane. There are both bad ADCs and bad Supports, and supports have no right to complain about ADCs when often they are the ones who lose the lane.
And now for the thing I hate the most "Supports get no recognition." BULLSHIT. I give my support a shoutout every time they make a sick play, and there were games where literally my entire team said in all chat "This Thresh carry." Supports get fucking recognition if they play well. If you have mediocre games, don't expect recognition from people. If you actually have an amazing game, people will praise you.
Sorry for the rant but I've gotten fed up with all these so called "Support Mainz" who have this giant circle-jerk of love and friendship BUT ONLY TO SUPPORTS NO ADC ALLOWED!

the support main circlejerk is fucking disgusting and i wish everyone involved with it would get a clue
I can see your point, but here's the thing- we've not all had the same experience. You may have had really good/considerate adc's, but I typically don't. Which is why I don't usually play ranked. Yeah, you might give a shoutout for your Supports- and you're a nice exception. But one exception does not a rule break. I've seen relatively little recognition for the support- myself and others- unless I'm playing with friends on curse.
Also on the 'if you actually have an amazing game, people will praise you'- Yeah, but it takes much more kill presence for a support to be considered having an amazing game, think about it; most people will see a 7/1/1 adc at 15 minutes to be having (at least) a pretty good game. However, a 1/4/7 support? They're not doing enough/feeding (Even though they have as much gold as they gave over to the other team, and got the ADC all gold over and above that.) Even if they've kept the lane warded and staved off several ganks.
Except if you go 1/4/7 you aren't having an amazing game. Often times you are lucky that the ADC can capitalize on an opening you have made, in which case, yes the ADC will be praised more. Support is a hard role, and not many perform it well. What irks me is when people who perform average are expecting high praise. Going 1/4/7 in lane is not good. It's not bad either. It's just.... a game. If you went 1/0/7 or even 1/1/7, you would probably see people typing "man this support is so good" because not only are you opening up opportunities for your ADC to get kills, you are doing it safely and not allowing yourself to die.
On the other hand a 7/1/1 ADC is a player who can capitalize on the situation their support creates without exposing themselves to being killed.
I understand that Supports do occasionally get shit on by their ADCs, but it's not nearly as common as they make it seem. If it seems to be happening to you a lot, maybe you should play ADC for a hundred games, just to see what you might be doing wrong (I AM NOT IMPLYING THAT IF AN ADC IS RAGING AT A SUPPORT THEN THE SUPPORT IS ALWAYS WRONG).
Quick Edit: A lot of praise for supports doesn't always come from setting up a kill. Most of the time people will give praise to me is if i saved them from a close death by correctly using abilities (read as "spammed W and R while playing Soraka" xD)
Second Edit: Moreover I will often call out when I messed up, saying something like "Shit mb. I played that super badly." EVERY TIME the ADC has been understanding and given me instructions on how they want me to play, and I respect their request and try to accommodate to their playstyle.
Most mid laners have some form of mobility like Ahri's ult/Q, and if they don't they have some form of easy to hit CC like Viktor's W. They need good positioning but they also have more self peel. The most mobility aside from Kalista, who is a broken monster that needs to be reworked, is maybe a dash and a small movement speed buff for an ADC.
Tristana has a 900 range jump that resets on takedowns and a knockback...what midlaner is safer than her? Vayne has 2 sec cooldown dash, stealth and a knockback Lucian has a dash and movement speed boost Sivir has a huge movement speed boost Caitlyn has a snare, slow and long dash Kalista is broken as you mentioned
Don't see how adcs in general are less mobile than mages/midlaners. Brand has a stun which requires him to hit 2 spells on you, Malzahar has a delayed silence and a supress that roots himself for 2.5 seconds, Zyra has a weak root and delayed knockup but she sucks anyway. Point is midlaners are as hard to position with as adcs.
Yeah, most ADCs have a form of self peel but It's not the easiest to use, and in the case of Jinx, it can get you killed and decrease your damage output. ADCs are much more squishy and very rarely do they have anything that makes them more tanky.
Brand has a long ranged stun, Malzahar has multiple forms off CC that's very easy to land, Zyra has an AoE snare, slow, and knockup. The thing is, they can build something like Rylai's, Rod, Seraph's, Liandry's, Abyssal, Zhonya's, etccc and be noticeably more tanky on top of something like a Guardian's Angel and Banshee's, but aside from Mercurial and Maw, Frozen Mallet and Black Cleaver aren't that often built on ADCs and only until you buy your last item which is usually the defensive item, you have nothing but base defensive stats, whereas defensive stats come on nearly every single commonly built AP item in the game, including Health, Magic Resist, and Armor. ADCs can't even build Armor aside from Guardian's Angel, unless you're like Imaqtpie and buy Zhonya's on Vayne.
Most AP champions can get much more tanky as they build and have more than just their base stats. Even Anivia with Rod of Ages and Liandry's will be more tanky and have more self peel than most ADCs unless they have some off-meta Black Cleaver + Frozen Mallet build. AP Carries do need good positioning but they also have far less of a consequence if they do fail at positioning.
ADCs have higher base stats than mages...that's a fact.
Brand's stun doesn't have long range unless you have hit your target with an ability before, so either you have to land 2 skillshots, or 1 skillshot and be in 700 range of your target...and then the stun is still very easy to avoid because his Q can be blocked or dodged easily.
Malzahar has exactly 2 forms of cc, his Q being a delayed silence which is extremely hard to hit and his ult being a supression that immobilizes himself for the duration while getting stopped by any form of cc or just a QSS which is the core build of any adc...basically you can't even use it in a teamfight.
Zyra has a slow skillshot snare which is very easy to avoid and an extremely delayed knockup on her ultimate...there is reason she is crap atm despite her doing the third most damage out of all champs per game...there is not a single adc that is as unsafe as Zyra.
ADCs build Armor and MR from GA or Banshees or QSS/Scimitar, their other defense is lifesteal which is a defensive stat people often forget about...BT gives you 80 AD but it is a huge defensive boost too because of the huge shield and 20% lifesteal....this shield has no cd btw and its strengths doesn't depend on how much mana the adc has like Seraph's. It is true that Mages traditonally end up with a little bit more hp than adcs in the lategame due to their item build (Mage itemization is really good atm) but that doesn't mean shit when you are out of position. The extra 200hp is not gonna do shit for you...you gotta remember ADCs can easily crit you for 1500+ in the lategame and the 50 armor from Zhonya's honestly is not gonna save you at all.
Let's just be honest here...almost any champ, no matter what role has to make sure he positions himself well...it doesn't matter if you are an adc, toplaner, jungler or midlaner, etc...there is not a single thing that makes ADC harder to play than other roles...they have the most reliable damage and the whole team protects them. Why do you think ADCs always end up with the best scores in LCS games? Because the ADC players are the most skilled ones? Lol...no their teams just protect them and make sure they get their kills and stay alive. People say adc is hard because everyone focusses you...true but you are also the focus of protection on your own team so it even out completely. You have one job as adc...it is not dying, everything else doesn't matter, as long as you stay alive you can do damage, if you are dead your dps is 0. But you are not obliged to kill anyone...you just gotta not die. Compare it to an assassin for example. His/her role is to go in and assassinate the priority target and if he can't do that he is absolutely useless. There is a lot more pressure on an assassin player for example than on an adc and I don't play either of those roles alot so I am not talking with bias but rather from my experience of thousands of LoL games.
Just to compare the lowest base health champion in the game (Anivia) and the highest base health ADC in the game (Miss Fortune) on how tanky they will be.

Anivia with this standard AP build will have 2258 health, 139.2 Armor, and 55 Magic Resist
Miss Fortune with this standard AD build will have 2023 health, 125 Armor, and 80 Magic Resist
Mind you that Miss Fortune, aside from Graves with his passive, is the most tanky ADC in the game.
ADCs have to have the best positioning, and while APCs have to position well too, ADCs can literally be one-shot for simply making one very slight error in their positioning.
Lol..I am sorry. If your entire point is that adcs are harder because they have 200-300 less hp than mages at the end of the game and hence die 0.1 seconds faster than a mage then I am done with this discussion, nothing against you, you seem like a nice person but that argumentation is kinda ridiculous and besides no Anivia would skip Deathcap or not build Tear, so don't know where you got that build from. Swap Athenes for Seraphs, and Liandries for Deatchap and suddenly she loses 25 magic resistance and 300 health.
Actually I don't think most Anivias build Tear anymore, I typically see them go Rod and Athene's.
My comparison is that the tankiest ADC in the game is still not as tanky as the squishyest APC in the game at full build. ADCs can't afford to ever be durable to the point where they can't have perfect positioning. It's almost inarguable ADCs have to have the best positioning of all roles in the game meaning that It's also probably the hardest to play. Your Ahri accidentally facechecked a brush? No problem, she just ults away. Your Anivia got ambushed? No problem, she can stun them and wall them away. Your Caitlyn just got ganked? An Ally Has Been Slain.
Lol what? Please stop that...I can do that too....Your Tristana just facechecked a bush? No problem she just rocket jumps 900 units away and can knock enemies back if needed. Your Brand checks a bush? An ally has been slain. Your Vayne gets ganked? Np, just condemm them away and tumble to safety. Btw Caitlyn is one of the hardest adcs to gank so I don't know where got the idea of ganking Cait being an automatic kill from...she ain't Varus. Anyway do you get what you are doing? You are just picking your examples...there are immobile mages, there are immobile adcs...there are safe mages, there are safe adcs.
Your Anivia build was honestly bad, if you see Anivia's going Athene's (which is not that terrible but not building Deathcap is unacceptable on Anivia) it is probably because you are playing at a low elo. In the normal Anivia build (RoA, Seraphs, Zhonya, Dcap, Void Staff) she has less hp and armor and mr than any adc.
ADCs have one job...not to die. They don't have to land any skillshots, kill no priority targets, they are fine to just hit what is infront of them and focus on themselves. The role requires zero decision making and while it might be mechanically harder than playing that full tank Nunu jungle who just clicks E on his enemies, they only have to care about themselves while also being the focus of protection for your team.
You can check my main account if you want: http://www.lolking.net/summoner/euw/43958679#profile
I have a widely spread amount of games on any role of this game...so I can say I have a good grasp of playing them all on a solid level at a decent elo atleast, and adc has never been one bit challenging.
Mages have burst damage, which means you can do your job and die, which an ADC can't do. A dead ADC is NEVER a useful adc.
Also, mages can viably build damage and tanky at the same time. I'm a mid main and I'll tell you, it's MUCH easier than ADC. Also, most spell ranges out range AA's.
The way I see adc is that it really hinges upon the support you have in lane that sets the tone for the whole game. In my experience, a good support is the more visible one in lane. They are the ones that you notice, they are the ones poking, zoning, all-inning, cc-ing. shielding, etc.
The best kind of support makes their adc invisible which can really make it easy on the adc, because all they need to focus on with a good support is last hitting and lining up their harass with the openings their support provide. Adc's have to do very little if paired with a good support.
Although this all changes when you have a support that doesn't bring presence to a lane. Adc becomes one of the hardest roles to play if no one is willing to rally behind them, or, if the adc doesn't understand they need to stick with their team. Sure, an adc "could" go off on their own. But they better have an expertise in kiting and keeping that Shyvana at bay long enough to burn em down. That, can be really difficult and is what separates a good adc from a bad one: Independence.
I mean, i know adc isnt hard and it aint easy. but lets not sugar coat it... they are pretty worthless by themselves. Good thing ya got good ol supports to keep you safe <3.
I mean, i know adc isnt hard and it aint easy. but lets not sugar coat it... they are pretty worthless by themselves. Good thing ya got good ol supports to keep you safe <3.
know who else is worthless by themselves? the role that exists for the sole purpose of providing extra utility for their team
Not really, i mean. Supports can farm, escape, skirmish, counterplay, solo lane Meanwhile if an adc gets countered alone they are prett fucked. IF an adc gets ganked. they are pretty fucked. So.... Adc depend so much on others. Trust me, i play all roles because its just what i do. And in my opinion Adc (Farm, auto attack and set up any cc if they have any, and finish off people.) where on the Support side its (Babysit your Adc, Ward, prevent ganks, use your utility in your favor, time your abilities to negate the enemy support/jungle, Roam when you can to help mid,) Sorry but that is just how it is XD. Dont Sugar coat the Adc role man.
Not really, i mean. Supports can farm, escape, skirmish, counterplay, solo lane
TIL: ADCs can't do any of these things
this place never ceases to amaze me
Yall cant really escape. just face it dude... i know you might be offended if you are an Adc main... but Adc are basically the Backround Dps that need everyone else to keep them safe unless you are Draven.... Cuz he don need no man.

i actually play primarily support-oriented champions with janna being my second most played in ranked this season
support mains like you who believe their existence is bathing their adc is some holy light are the reason no one likes us or our role.
Noone likes Support role because they aint got the patience :P. But hey, we all have our opinions. your opinion is that they take skill because maybe Adc is just hard for you. i think it is pretty easy and i Adc when i feel lazy but want to carry. so. this is where we part ways

the only adc you don't have a sub 50% winrate on is lucian -- which you've played twice. nice carrying tho
Yet you think this is my main. And you really wasted time looking up this accounts stats? damn. Must not have an exciting life huh? lol. But hey, A for effort.

FEK lets me do this in two clicks -- not much effort on my part
it's hilarious when people pull the "I'M A SMURF DW GUYS XD" card when you do this tho
Sorry just got back from doing things important in my life. And is their a problem with Being a smurf? Just because you blieve it is impossible to have one? all i am saying is. i have played with Higher Elo Adc, played as a Higher Elo Adc, and played Against Higher Elo Adc. and they all say it is really easy. OH! i know how to put it so you can understand :D.
Adc is really easy and takes no skill, But some people Apply skill to this Skilless Role to perform wonderful Synergy, and Gameplay. But really anyone can pick it up first try,
Boom Rocked your world. Now goodbye :D
