Seeing A LOT of negative feedback on this mage update..

Just pointing this out Riot...think of this in terms of your own creation League of Legends..

If 4/5 players want to surrender and quit...its acceptable..but if 4/5 people feel negative about a patch..it goes live?

A lot of people are bad at math, and league, so 4/5 people not liking something they haven't interacted with doesn't mean anything. These changes are massive buffs to people who know how to not take damage, or play champions that are good at taking damage.

average AP build. now 598AP. (grail, rab cap, ludens, zhonyas, archangel staff)

average ability is a skill shot with a 60% scaling ratio, you do the math and tell me how easy/difficult it will be to kill an enemy ADC who has 2k hp, 50~100MR from runes/masteries, and item 3139

or ya know, 2k headshot crit from cait, or just death from draven....

play veigar. press r. also that build gives at least 621 ap, before you get the 3% for your mana pool.

Well said!

How are they going to gauge the changes without testing them?

They're entirely silent about balance in the PBE boards; and when someone makes a post about it, it's downvoted to oblivion without any comments. Riot just wants their skins tested so they don't glitch out apparently, which is part of why I'm considering leaving.

Why would they be talking about it on the PBE boards when the changes haven't even come on the PBE yet. How can you be mad at something and consider it awful without it even being tested first?

They don't even post their 'surrender20' there, regardless if the changes have already been on pbe for months.

"We're likely going to be pushing within 1 or 2 days onto pbe"

The mage item updates have not hit the pbe yet. I have no idea what you're talking about.

In general; they hardly comment at all here in the live boards, but even less in the pbe. Where there's ~1/5 of the posts, but only ~1/10 of that small percentage is even acknowledged. Not just the mage update, but news & feedback about balance changes in general.

Okay but in your main post you're complaining about a patch that literally hasn't happened yet. And the people who comment on the boards are less then 1% of the player base, and the people on the pbe are even less then that.

Still no reason for riot to blatantly ignore it; if anything it's more of a reason to pay attention to the beta boards since there's significantly less spam.

I don't think you're understanding. Riot isn't discussing anything because there is nothing to discuss. They do use player data from pbe to adjust their patches and have done so every major patch; this patch has not come out, there is no data to discuss, so they aren't.

You're also misunderstanding me, I'm pointing out that even when there's things to discuss, riot often avoids it unless it's gamebreaking. But surprise example; their disregard of check&balances caused the juggernaut problems that people pointed out for months before they shipped anything live. These are the things I'm talking about in the first place.
