SERIOUS ISSUE WITH THE NEW S9 RANKED SYSTEM PLS READ

I am writing this with high urgency!!

If the five roles are separately ranked for s9, what if:

*** A supposedly "Diamond III" Mid laner QUEUES for his off-role 'Top', where he is currently in Gold III. He asks for a LANE SWAP with the Mid laner in his team who is supposedly in Gold Elo for Mid lane, and then destroy the enemy laner because his diamond skills are way above a gold player???? **

I know the devs addressed that "they will receive the lp for whichever role they played rather than the role they queued for. But the problem still stands: If he's a smurf, he will dumpster the fk out of the enemy laner, so he will most likely get the wins anyway and the other team gets a terrible experience.

please hold your horses with your changes riot, and give me an explanation now! As far as I'm concerned, this system will be a complete fail.

Have you noticed that small line of text at the top right of your post-game screen that tells you what position you played? That tech will be used to calculate LP gains and minimize the impact of role swapping. Hopefully it also means the team that lost to a lane swapper will lose much less LP.

They address this exact problem near the end of a video they released today about the changes. I’m not saying it was a satisfactory answer, but it’s the one they gave. Don’t shoot the messenger.

There is another issue... Mid mages can go top, some toplaners can go jg, some ADC like Vayne can go top and mid, some mages can go supp... For example die 3 Jax JG main will get top in gold 3 or even mid in gold 3 elo and he will just pick his Jax and destory everyone.. It's a dia against gold... This season in flex my friend who is plat 1 play a fck Soraka top and beat the shit out of gold 5 top player...
