Teamwork OP, RIOT please nerf

Many of the low elo "X is OP" comments basically amount to this: X laner sucked and fed his ass off, then his opposing laner (Y champion) was fed and curb-stomped all the other lanes.

What this game NEEDS (absolutely, positively NEEDS) is some kind of "contribution" score, noting how much impact you (individually) made to the team's performance. Is that tough to define, yes but the value cannot be understated. The absolute WORST feeling in this game right now is "I played well, but I can't carry these scrubs". That can be fixed if my contribution is rewarded and bad play is more "punished". To just brainstorm AS AN EXAMPLE, the game could perform thusly:

  • Winning team gets +10 LP, Losing team gets -10 LP
  • S tier performance is worth +20 LP, A tier is worth + 10 LP, B tier is worth 0 LP, C tier is worth -10 LP (or go more "precise", S+ = +25, S = +20, S- = +15, A+ = +13, A = +10, A- = +7, B+ = +5, B = 0, B- = -2, etc)

This way, you can lose and still show results, and win and still make no progress (or even decline depending on point values). But the current ranks are stupid because an idiot can climb if they get lucky and a "good" (not great) player can get stuck if they get a bad team. For reference, I'm currently Silver Tier and I think that's exactly where I belong. But I'd rather see a GREAT game of 5 TRUE Silvers vs. 5 true Silvers. Rather than the crap I get which feels like 1-2 random gold+, 4-5 silvers, 4 rando bronzies. When I get a game where I go level with my lane or otherwise have to play well to get ahead against my opponent, that feels good. But any "fun" of that is destroyed when I have the 12 - 1, jg or Mid-laner come curb-stomp me because he's either some smurf that doesn't belong OR he got uber-fed because his opponent SUCKED. (I don't "enjoy" being on the winning side of that either, I just take it because the "suck" games are certainly coming too)

I get that ranking purely on "individual achievement" is an issue for a team game. Honestly, I don't even care about the issue for "rank" reasons. I just think it would help TREMENDOUSLY for matchmaking if you could parse precisely between "good silver 5" and "bad silver 5". I would just like to have more games that (win or lose) FEEL like "that was a good game" rather than "who had the rando ****-head, or the 'wtf are you doing in this elo' smurf".

EDIT: Note, this should not matter in Flex/5v5 queue. If you HAVE a full team (or even more than a solo/maybe duo) then your teamwork/teamscore SHOULD be more important than what you're doing alone because you CHOSE that team.

A Tyndamere or singed who's 2/7 or 2/8 split pushing botlane with , forcing2-3 members of the enemy team to come answer his splitpush, and allowing your team to get a free baron and objectives has probably made the most impactful decision winning you the game. The game is not about your score, your cs, etc (they[re all important yes but) it's all about getting the enemy nexus to explode.
