Ranked placements.

Here's the deal...

Someone on my friend's list has ended their placements with 2 wins out of 10 games and was placed in Bronze 2. I've won more games than them (5-6) and was placed in Bronze 4. I had played my placement matches before the hard-reset and ended in Silver 4 with the same scores (5-6).

Now, it seems fair that it drops me four divisions (seems like a lot though) since I had the same score but how is it fair that someone who only wins 2 out of 10 games gets placed in a division higher than someone who had more wins? They were unranked before and recently reached level 30, if that adds anything to the equation.

I will have no problem climbing, that's the point in starting ranked but how am I supposed to believe there's some balance in the system when things like these happen? I don't believe I'm better than anybody but it seems quite unfair when there's such a big difference between harsh numbers. 6 is a much larger number than 2...

That's all.

Merry climbing!

Unranked starts with a fresh mmr, somewhere around mid silver, and are placed usually between b3 and s1. In your case you were s4 and by the soft reset was almost guaranteed b2 or below.

There ya go.
