More than half of the players i played with today didn't even have masteries.

Kinda obvious when the patch notes and the preseason changes stated that the masteries were changing completely. Masteries had reset last year, too.

I think last year it redirected you to your masteries page as soon as you started the game, so you could see.

Unfortunately most people don't READ patch notes or change logs even when they're linked directly in the client window. Most of League's community needs to be babied.

You can bet for the next week or two that most matches will have stupid questions like "WHAT? GRAVES CHANGED?"

Really? Because they did almost nothing. There is SO much more Riot could've done, such as redirecting you to the mastery page when you log in, or at the very least use their little notification icon and make an announcement like, "Hey, all your masteries are gone."

Relying on your players to read all of the patch notes before they queue up for a game is pretty shoddy service.

If people take the time to extensively itemize the hundreds of changes that were made in a patch, do it a week in advance, and create tons of easily accessible traffic to the page (i.e., front page of web site and in-game) the least players can do is read it or at least skim over the major stuff.

EDIT: Welp, RIOT added an alert that notifies ppl that Masteries have been reset. They just have to click on it.

YES, its is THE LEAST they could do.... AND THEY STILL CANT MANAGE TO PULL IT OFF!

Join me, report people who que up and actualy go into the match without masteries for unsportsmanlike.

SOME people do. The vast majority of people have limited time to play the game and they launch the game, go grab a drink, then sit down and queue up.

There should not be a requirement to read a multiple page document to discover something as critical as, "Oh, my masteries are all gone!".

There are a hundred ways Riot could've popped up that everyone's masteries were reset when people first patched and logged in. Stop making excuses for their poor handling of the patch.

Yea, I'm not. I read all the upcoming changes and keep track of it.

I am just saying I can't blame people for not realizing their masteries were reset when Riot put zero in game notifications in. Seems just pure lazy.

huh. i don't know about that... if people don't have time to read the patch notes how do you think riot feels? this HUGE update, there is much string coding that has to be monitored, along with keeping an eye on their balance changes. I imagine they are busy as fuck right now, not being lazy...

I keep running into people that didn't know that the ADCs were changed! "Graves top? graves jung? What is this guy thinking" I hear the host say before not letting the guy in. get into game and guy is shocked by the new ADC maniacs that our Caitlin has, and half the damn team doesn't even have masteries.

IF someone doesn't read the patch notes and get penalized for it by not having something or not knowing what a new champions change is. That's their own damn fault.

That little box with the exclamation point that tells you when champs and items are disabled for x....

They maybe could have put it there, still can.

Also, I started another thread about this, but I feel that if they dont have masteries, and REFUSE to dodge and set them up. They should be reported for "Unsportsmanlike" because if they dont give a fuck about hurting their team with their weaker position of not having masteries, then they wont give a fuck about being reported for it, simple as that.

Still, its is pretty pathetic that people are so lazy and ignorant, worse that others have to put up with them.

Sad Sad, this world has gotten lazy. THEY KNEW THE SEASON was gonna be over today. They forgot to check their masteries? Everytime I log in, I always check my masteries. I OCD about dem masteries. MASTERY MASTERYIESS MASTERIES!!! CHECK YOUR GOD DAMN MASTERIES!

I knew in advanced so I had it changed but they should have deleted all your pages at least (rather then rendering them blank ) to force people to clue in

I think thats what they did when it was S3->S4
