Here's an idea that maybe Riot could consider about the Normals Draft controversy
I don't like Blind Pick. You don't like Blind Pick. Most people don't like Blind Pick. But it is a faster way of getting into game, and putting the queues together would be faster.
Solution?
Combine the modes.
Here's the idea: Normals Draft is removed in name, so only one SR normals queue, Blind Pick (could be renamed), remains. Blind Pick implements new features. These features include choosing roles when queuing, champion hovers, and bans (1 per person, which is 5 per team, which Riot has been considering lately). It still keeps the Blind Pick element of Everyone picking and banning at the same time.
See, the problem most people have with Blind Pick is twofold. One, it's unbalanced as hell, since there are no bans or counterpick opportunities. Two, it's heavily reliant on how nice your team decides to be on instalocking or how fast you call your role in the lobby. While this doesn't completely fix either problem, it definitely would smooth them over.
So, what do you guys think about this? I'm almost completely a normals draft player, but I think I would be satisfied with all of these features put into Blind Pick.
