you only build boots for movespeed and wonder how someone with furor, bork, and pd can chase you down?

It was a rammus powerball, that gets upto 900 ms :|

I think you mean 504, and for 1 second at that.

so? chasing a 504 ms champ is balanced?

360D3GR3SS5 votes

yes because 504 only occurs for 1 second and then you lose all of your movement speed.

yes because 504 only occurs for 1 second and then you lose all of your movement speed.

yes, meanwhile vayne has 460 ms with boot+ulti without counting item 3046 that means that you can't decide if you want to fight vayne or not because she will simply outrun you.

360D3GR3SS3 votes

She actually probably has more than that, at least iI would certainly hope so. Her ultimate gives her 90 movement speed towards you and not away from you. You should try playing a champion that isn't painfully telegraphed like rammus. If you want to instantly take care of vayne play someone who has burst mobility to get ontop of her so your team can follow up.

doombotMECHA2 votes

what? so rammus is "painfully telegraphed" now? with all this mobility creep he's actually one of the least mobile champs in the game because he can't outspeed the league of mobility

try dead man's, it may help.

360D3GR3SS2 votes

News flash: he always has been painfully telegraphed. He is basically like a faster volibear in regards to how obvious his path will be.

Botrk is op.

360D3GR3SS9 votes

and her ulti gives her 90 flat movement speed towards enemys lol

Joe Dredd3 votes

towards.

360D3GR3SS4 votes

yes, and OP is complaining that vayne caught up to a power balled rammus.

DorkunedAuras1 votes

Powerball is essentially the strongest move speed buff in the game. A rammus who is not getting hit by targetted dashes or CC should easily escape vayne.

360D3GR3SS1 votes

Play Zilean at all? Zilean would have been able to outrun her, but a Rammus just starting his power ball stands nearly no chance escaping vayne.

Akesgeroth5 votes

To be fair, Rammus' speed ball should not be something you can keep up with unless he's slowed and taking detours. I'm guessing he died at the beginning of the spin though.

Champion Skin4 votes

Vayne could possibly do it By... stealing MS with item 3153 using her Q and E to increase the gap (bonus points if Rammus is stunned against a wall with E or pushed into minions)

And if she really wanted to kite rammus I guess she could also get stuff like item 3022 and item 3142

DorkunedAuras1 votes

Bork doesn't steal MS. It applies a 15% slow and a 15% speed buff simultaneously, but that doesn't steal

For example, if a 400 Ms vayne borks an 800 MS Rammus, vayne would gain (400 * .15) 60 MS, while Rammus would lose (800 * .15) 120 MS. Those two numbers are not related to each other at all.

The only was to truly steal MS is Malphite Q, which enables him to reach literally infinite MS

Joe Dredd10 votes

Botrk does steal ms. If you don't believe me try using botrk on a morg who has black shield active.

Penns1 votes

Isnt Malphite Q the only thing that actually steals MS? I think everything else just slows and speeds you up like dat guy said.

Joe Dredd1 votes

Then why will you not get a ms boost for using the active on a morg with black shield?

DorkunedAuras1 votes

I'm pretty sure applying the debuff is what causes you to get the appropriate buff.

Mech0p1 votes

item 3706 this also steals movement speed

DorkunedAuras1 votes

Nope, works same as bork, gives you an MS buff based on YOUR MS, and slows theirs based on theirs.

Mech0p1 votes

I have to disagree because on bork it clearly states that it steals 25% of the targets ms which has nothing to do with yours and as for chilling smite it says that it steals 20% ms... No where does it state on either of these items that this has anything to do with your ms... So they way I see it if someone has 400 ms and you have 395 and use bork on them they will have 300 ms while you have 495... Check the items out and correct me if im wron but I don't believe I am

DorkunedAuras1 votes

I will guarantee you that even though bork and chilling smite both say "steal", they do not function like that. It's just that since most of the time the 2 targets will have relatively even MS, they didn't call it worth it to properly explain what's actually happening. Still, bork or chilling smite a high move speed Rammus or something, and you'll see your move speed not go up by 8 million.

some champs are really only op because ppl are scared of them and try to run away...and they chase well...so they kill the morons tryign to run away, get fed, and snowball. Not even joking.

OP here is a few things to consider. was the hit her E? if so you flew backwards for what would be 3-5 seconds distance pending if she Q away right after that E. also things to consider is how big of a head start she had on you time between you and her before you started after her in your Q is VERY important if it was even roughly half your powerballs worth of distance on that head start you are not going to get her cause and E Q combo alone will end that pursuit. fun huh?

in later news I have kept pace with a powerballing mobi booted with alacrity ramus as a sona. the build was boots mobi, ardent, twin ghosts, sight stone, and talisman of Ascension. match ended be fore 6th item but I had a pink ward in a slot. also the ramus was under the same effect of Ascension and sona's E as me so that is not what gave me the edge in that keep pace as we both was charging into mid lane to save the mid laner. I was moving slightly faster then the Rammus who had maxed his Q by then. was really funny was like watching a mario cart game with princess peach and bowser he even had the skin XD.

Max out taunt first so your ganks are more effective, max out Defensive Ball Curl 2nd, and Powerball last. Take ignite over flash and get Skirmishers over rangers for the extra true damage when you ignite somebody. Ignite helps you kill AD champs with tons of lifesteal so you can melt them with DBC, Thornmail, AAs, and ult. Skirmishers give you extra damage mitigation so you can tank more damage. Try to rush thornmail after you get jungle item.

Ganking helps get you the gold to get your items.

If the enemy team has players that have both Last Whisper and Black Cleaver, you can still get 70% damage reduction if you can get 600 armor.

Doesn't matter if all of that damage is true damage.

Tworie2 votes

That's why you gotta focus the carry first before your health gets low. Here's what you gotta do

-Powerball into Vayne -Smite/Ignite her -Taunt her -Turn your ult on -AA her -Kill her

Durzaka3 votes

You realize youre talking about Rammus right?

AKA THE BEST person to possibly deal with Vayne.

Between your shit loads of armor ruining her physical damage, and your damage reflect and ult killing her, you would need to be retard, behind, or she was fed (or any combination of the 3) to actually lose that fight.

For Vayne to kill you with True damage she needs to proc silver bolts 12-13 times. Which is literally 36-39 AAs. Even at max attack speed you have so much time to just destroy her.

Sinlaire4 votes

you forget 8% current health from item 3153 .

instead of 12-13 silver bolts it would just take 12-13 AA's between the active, passive, silver bolts, and AA damage.

Vayne's silver bolts do 8% max HP per proc at max rank. meaning they'll do 32% max Hp in 12 AA's and 42% max HP in 12 AA's and item 3153 active. i think she can cover the other 58% in autos and item 3153 passive easily.

overall. i'd say if Rammus makes it past 12 Auto's his armor must be god level, but the silver bolts, active and passive on blade will still kill him.

overall, i'd say rammus is the best to deal with ANY ADC at all with Vayne being his absolute worst.

Champion Skin4 votes

Actually Vaynes Silver bolts will never do 8% of Max hp it will always do slightly more since it also has flat damage (obviously the lower HP the target has the higher % the flat damage is of their max HP)

Joe Dredd1 votes

and then you realize armor reduces physical damage.

Sinlaire1 votes

item 3035

one item. 35% of 600 gone. he's now down to a touch under 400. i think my math still holds.

Joe Dredd2 votes

Still taking only 20% of auto damage. The person still kills themselves with ram w and thornmail.

Sinlaire2 votes

item 3156 item 3072 lets see who wins

Tworie1 votes

That's 390 armor after LW

you still get 79% damage reduction even if they have LW and with all that damage reduction, their heals don't do as much so they're sustain is weaker especially if you take ignite and Skirmishers.

Durzaka1 votes

BotRK deals its 8% current health in physical damage.

And Rammus is the god of armor, only comparable to Malphite. That botrk is going to tickle him for almost no damage.

DorkunedAuras1 votes

still, if he has 4k hp and 500 armor, he's consistently taking about 360 damage from the bork passive for the first few autos. Even with mitigation, that's a lot of damage added on.

Durzaka1 votes

Not sure what you know about math, but 8% of 4k hp is only 320. And that is only the first hit. AND that is before armor, and 500 armor would be 80ish% damage reduction, making that 320 more like 64. AKA tickling.

doombotMECHA1 votes

and the armor loss from LW.

OyddAWqJ5r2 votes

You sir are amazing. This advice is pure gold. Never would of thought of that. It's not like Rammus needs flash or rangers anyway. You'll just have to manage mana better in the jg and just settle for slower clears. Just like any other jungler that opts skirmisher.

Good stuff. Though I never play Rammus, when I do I will try your suggestion.

DorkunedAuras1 votes

Rammus actually really benefits from flash to get on top of enemies to hit with powerball before they can dash away/mid dash/mid minion wave.

Melledoneus3 votes

It'd be funny except thornmail does nothing against ADCs anymore.

MakeABronziesDay2 votes

doubt it. unless youre that bad at league
