LMaokai

Hi all, as you know, our boy maokai isn't in the best of places, some would say in the shitter entirely. He needs another mini rework, just for his ult and maybe streamlining the passive. Heres my idea for an ult:

Think of it like a nunu aoe ult, but instant. It doesn't do as much dmg as nunu ult, it doesn't slow, but whoever is hit has thorns embedded into them. What do the thorns do? Well i'm thinking either if you want his ult to be more offence focused, reduces healing ala grievous wounds, and deals dmg to anyone who DOES cast healing on target affected by spikes.

If you want it to be more in line with tanking, take out the thorns and have it that every target hit siphons health of enemy into a massive shield, like, quite massive, and if he wishes, instead of just him, he can recast it to split the shield in half, but give each ally champ around him said half of the shield, kinda like a throwback to his old ult, without the flat dmg resist. So like, he gets a shield for 35%/50%/65% of the dmg dealt per champ, or if that's too much dmg, then add a sort of vlad ult thing where every target hit past one gives half that, and if he recasts he spreads the shields out to his allies and weakens the shields he already has.

I also think his passive needs streamlined into something like kassadins e, so pretty much keep the cd at a flat 30, or 25 even, but make it so instead of having to be hit by it, any spell cast will recharge it, and if that happens, maybe lower the amount of time its reduced by to 3 seconds from 4, since he wouldn't need to be directly hit by it, but the first part of the passive (him casting) also leads into it.

Anything you would change? How do my ideas sound? Love to have a discussion since hes one of the tanks i really do like the play style of, but hes dead in the water right now with his ult. The passive change is just a personal preference of mine, but the ult is what really needs to go.
