Stay safe!

Why the F is this downvoted? Even if semi out of context, you should stay safe during a hurricane. Boards never ceases to amaze me.

Escheton47 votes

The rewards are minor, but having it be extended just because it's fun and some would miss out otherwise would be nice.

it being fun is your opinion in my opinion, the jedi are evil

That isnt an opinion that is truth

Don't need to ask RIOT for an extension if you ask Irma to postpone

Why not ask Rito to nerf Irma?

Two birds with one stone.

BigfootNamedYeti3 votes

They'd take two seasons and nerf harvey instead for item changes.

I'm sure that not being able to play a gamemode is the worst thing that can happen cause of a hurricane o_o

He is writing on the boards psychically.

that would be a bad place to be, unless it was 100% flood proof.

No but it would be nice. It's not like it'd destroy Riot if they extended it in NA at least. And i'm on EU.

It's a wonderful gamemode. Missions may have tattered the experience for some but it's really fun.

Realization that people tend to have different opinions.

Dead Anime Dad5 votes

You aren't missing much.

Cavesloth3 votes

Was gonna say that one, too. The rewards are meager at best, and the time it takes to earn them you can just earn enough IP to buy a champ you actually want, instead of rando. Not to mention the mode is a frustrating RNG crapshoot whether you can finish or not, and the mission requirements are legit insane.

Stay safe though man.

Athenes Lulu4 votes

If you have never experienced the joys of mmo raids or is the type to not try very hard for some ward skin, then you won't be missing out too much.

Stay safe though, same to all those living in the same area [slayer-jinx-catface]

PaladinNO3 votes

That one actually took me a moment.

You were talking about

Irma

...the item 3085 , naturally.

I'll trade you. I need some excitement in my life. Never experienced a hurricane before. All we got here is cold and snow (hence Howling Abyss feels like my second home). :|

Stay safe over there, and hope your home and your PC is standing when you get back.

Karfuss4 votes

Eh, I don't think there's going to be much excitement. Irma has the potential to be the most devastating hurricane on record, it's already the fastest and largest.

Scary stuff.

The Nidja1 votes

It's a cat 4 when it made landfall on Florida, still really really Bad, but not largest fastest on record, but still one of the worse for sure.

The Blue Rajah6 votes

It's worth noting that the OP said he's staying at a shelter in Pennsylvania, and had to leave his computer behind. Are you sure you'd like to experience the joy of evacuation, staying in a shelter for a while, and then heading home to find out how much of your stuff, and possibly if your home has been destroyed? Are you envious of that?

PaladinNO2 votes

Let me just reply real quick with a picture of the dashboard in my car from some years back: https://1drv.ms/i/s!AuFMZD__7mN2gU_4_uTEfL25vP1R

Here in Norway, my home is on solid rock, with mountains on all sides. Sure, we got some wind and snow (just a little - like 30-40 cm's overnight) and cold (-40°C (= -40°F) is not uncommon), but hurricanes can't reach us. And no volcanoes, no earthquakes, no tornadoes...no worthwhile forces of nature of any kind to speak of.

The worst thing that can happen here is a forest fire, but that haven't even been a reported risk for years. And a house fire I'm pretty much prepared for. 2 floors, two 6kg powder extinguishers upstairs and four powder plus two 9kg foam extinguishers in the basement. I'm heavily into electronics, and so I like to be ready in case some short should find its way through the protective plastic and onto the wood panels.

But to answer your question: Not truly envious, in the usual sense of the word, but I'd like to witness something like this in real life, yes. I've seen so many movies, I cannot take the news seriously anymore. Call it "cerebral programming". At this point, I want to experience the real.

well, could be worse. The hurricane could be heading right for your house like it will mine .__.

It's two weeks long..

invisiblecat117 votes

You do realize that it is the size of Florida, and you expect internet to be back within two weeks, let alone considering their house could be completely demolished!

Leon Etoile1 votes

So what you're saying is that got more problems than game modes on league???

Primaquarius2 votes

Sure we can put rebuilding our lost shelter off for a week to play a virtual piece...

o SkArFaCe o1 votes

Yes please Rito extend a game mode because it is essential to the people of Texas and Florida/east coast that can't play it right now. Who cares about people who have died and have no homes now...make sure those shelters have good wifi and computers for everyone to play your game mode before time runs out!!!

What cat will it be when it its you? will be a cat 4 over here according to weather channel. Will be live streaming it from home and recording it for future.

Pandemic Punch1 votes

Maybe they should set up a pay to play edition of it to extend it. 100% of the money earned from it will go to the people who are suffering. ;-)

An extension of Invasion would bring about major harms to our neurones, especially to children. Your request is both dreadful and evil.
