An Issue with MR and Tanks

Just wanted to share my thoughts on an issue with AP/MR and tanks. I believe that the current defensive MR items that exist within the game each play their own role in countering certain types of AP champions. However, I believe that a viable option to counter multiple AP champions on the team (double AP or even double AP with an AP jungler) currently doesn't exist. Take for example: it provides a tank with all the stats necessary to survive in a game with multiple AD enemies; a large amount of armor and a passive that allows the buyer to deal a reasonable amount of damage given their investment in an item that grants only 1 type of resistance. Thornmail (and for that matter) in my opinion is an item that works well and isn't very exploitable on non-junglers.

However, I believe that an MR counterpart should and must exist in order to provide the same benefits to a tank when the champion is facing an enemy team with multiple AP threats. My suggested recipe for this item is quite straight-forward: 1 Null Magic Mantle + 1 Negatron Cloak. The item would grant 90 MR and contain the unique passive TENACITY. The item would contain a the tenacity passive because many AP champions have at least 1 method of crowd control and this passive would allow the buyer to benefit greatly from investing so much gold into an item that only provides 1 type of resistance. Furthermore, I think that it would also allow the buyer to explore other boots options instead of forcing the player onto each time the player is facing an enemy team with a large amount of crowd control and multiple AP threats.

I don't think believe that this new item would cause the current set of MR items to become obsolete and could serve as a viable substitute as well. Any thoughts are appreciated.
