New Mastery System Idea
Hello everyone. So i think this is a really important matter that still hasn't been really touched by Riot, but i hope they will for the next season.
The current status of Masteries.
THe mastery system needs a big overhaul in my opinion. Even if with each season some masteries changes he system itself doesn't feel good. Even if there are many many masteries and you can change some points here and there there is really 0 customization about it. One path for ADc, one path for mages and so on. This is a terible thing for the game and need a fix.
Possible solution?
My vision of the Mastery is this one: • You have a mastery page for every champion you possess • Each champion has its own set of masteries wich is balanced around that champion, and it's different from any other champions. • The masteries could change a little bit how your spell works or some passive stuff in different situations • Possibility to customize each champion in different way with this method • Less rows of masteries in each page, put 1 points in each row to move forward and can't choose another mastery from that row
Let's try an example: First row of mastery of Ziggs (let's say that those masteries are about sieging): • Satchel charge incapacitate the turret if it hits one for 3 sec • Ziggs passive now deals 100% more damage to turrets • Ziggs ultimate can now damage turrets but with greatly reduced damage • Using Bouncing bomb on a turret put a bomb on the turret that explode after 5seconds doing some dmg
So you see you can have 4 masteries in that row about sieging a turret but they are different. You could do this with all the champion and with more rows.
Antoher example: Aatrox rows of mastery about lifesteal (remember you can choose only one of these): • Psssive 5% lifesteal • Your W heal on third attack is buffed up by 25% • Hitting a enemy with E refound his halth cost • After you revive with your passive you get great amount of lifesteal for 6 seconds
So basically this is my idea, would like to hear what you think about it, or if you have questions.
