So, I was thinking about the items last whisper builds into, and realized that both of them seem to be geared towards adcs. I think one of the biggest things riot could do to get AD assassins back into the game is make a last whisper item geared towards assassins. What do you guys think?

forresto1 votesif you're an assassin then you don't really benefit from it because you shouldn't be targeting people tanky enough to trigger it. ADC's benefit because they have to hit whoever's nearby.

Then why would they need last whisper... there are plenty of other items that give sufficient armor pen to kill someone who's not a tank.
forresto1 votesthe 40% armor pen is actually higher than any of the flat armor pens. late game, squishy champs scale to about 60ish natural armor. 40% of 60 = 24. throw in items like guardian angel, or hourglass, and last whisper is vital to maximizing damage late game. the problem i have is that while the armor pen bonus is good, the secondary effects dont really benefit the main role of assassins which is to assassinate squishies.

There are many items that are assassin focused.....basically all AD items...
