why all the hate for dynamic queue?

I honestly don't understand why people hate dynamic queue except that it can take a bit longer to get into game, and forces people to actually engage a bit in the champ select process. Is it the best thing that could have been? probly not, but it feels a lot better than the old system. especially for ranked, where you have a lot more control over your options.

Dynamic Q is only good for ELO boosting or if you are on equal level of skill with your friends.

Other than that it's crap.

Friends on different skill levels can't play together without the higher level players getting dragged down by the baddie friends.

You are forced to create smurf accounts or used MS DOS script to block your friends so that they don't see when you are online and ask if you want to play with them.

So much for a system to encourage team play.

I love the new champ select so I can't really complain about longer wait times. But my problem is that having infinite number of premades does a lot of harm to the ranked system. I've abused the system myself and boosted my friends using smurf accounts and boosting itself is at an all time high especially since you can legally do it now. High elo players are crippled by immense waiting times and challenger teams pub stomping on smurf accounts. Even with the changes, it's pretty hard for people to reach challenger with the monopoly going on unless you have challenger teammates to help you. In lower elos, solo carrying is much harder even if you're smurfing. My winrate when I'm premade is higher than it was in the old system since I could form a team that trusts me, lowers the mmr for me, and I can rely on aide if I get camped. However my soloq winrate has dropped from about 85% in silver to about 65%. Most premades seem to have someone checking kdas and that means I'll get camped if they realize I'm smurfing. Premades also tend to ignore their random teammates because they're on voice chat or they dont trust them. If I fall behind, they'll be that much less likely to help me cuz they'll think I'm just bad and not worth giving resources to. All in all it's just harder for a soloq player to get ahead and thats why people are upset

You are talking about champion select, not the changes in ranked queues.

Understand the difference please.

I'm confused, what is the difference?

New Champ Select = lets people Q up for 2 roles and 3 different people get to ban

Dynamic Queue = lets people premade in parties more than 2 people IN RANKED

Yeah, Riot kind of sucks at making those two sound like completely 2 different issues.

Ppl don't complain about the champion select. They complain about being paired as a solo queuer ina 4 man premade and being made their punch bag and left alone with no pings =]. Once you get that bad taste in your mouth, you'll never support dynamic queue.

I have nothing against DQ per se.

I hate that it's the only option we have outside Blind "toxic-champ-select" Pick.

Edit: Expanding my thought... Lets say that I want to practice X champion in Y position, why am I forced to a 50% chance to get the position, plus surviving the ban phase plus surviving the pick phase? And then hoping that no1 would dodge because that will put me back to square one.

Team Builder served as the eprfect too for practice and for when you are in the mood to play ONE PRECISE champion.

I agree, but I'm only mid silver. It seems to me that lower rank players are having a better experience. Conversely HIGHER ranked players seem to be suffering. Since streamers and YouTubers people actually watch tend to be higher rank, we see a lot of frustration from them.

I don't have a problem with being able to Q up with friends and play ranked together, because as a support main it benefits me more than it hurts me.

But I do have a problem with not being able to do much as solo or even duo players--may it be winning or losing, removing ranked 5s teams and Team Builder entirely, on top with the combination of the New Champ Select and the hyper-snowbally meta mess.

Dynamic Queue is the reformed version of ranked gameplay. All players regardless of team size are mixed together.

The champ select is what replaced teambuilder for draft games, ranked or otherwise.

There are far less complaints about the champion selection process than about DQ and being forced to play alongside premades in a single ranked ladder

DYNAMIC QUEUE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE NEW CHAMP SELECT
