Riot Heard Us
So, just read the state of the season, and sounds like riot heard us as far as the paper towers. "more durability and the damage ramping up more with repeated hits" sounds like a very good thing.

But still no solo que. Doesnt matter if they fix their atrocious balance when they cant even get people to queqe up once all the solo players leave.
It's a start. A big reason why DQ is so obnoxious is because of how easy it is to turret dive these days.
Wait, did you say a reason why Dynamic Queue sucks is because turrets are weak?
No, dynamic queue itself sucks. The ease with which premades can turret dive 100%HP solo players whenever they want just throws salt in the wound for solo players who are reminded they have no one to fall back on.
You know 4 man, even 3 man premades have always been able to turret dive a solo player, unless that player is super tanky or Fiora. Proper turret aggro and damage distribution require skill and comunication, and if they succeed its their merit.
You can maybe increase the turret's damage/health, but proper turret dives have been a part of League, even in competitive, so there is no use in bashing that.
But there were no 3 man premades in solo queue, these coordinated dives only happened in ranked 5 and solo players rarely had to deal with it or could punish foolish dive attempts (green wards also gave the jungler more time to see a dive coming).
Even in competitive there is something clearly wrong with turrets, 90% of games start with both teams sending 3 people to the outer solo lane turrets, because they can bring it down before the second wave and anyone who tries to defend it will get dove and killed easily.
Even 2 man premades (which existed in the previous solo queue) could do a normal dive, with one champion tanking until the final shot then swapping aggro the other player, which was more than enough to kill the solo player under turret.
And I think I heard In an LCS match that they do that take the first outer turret in the first 5 minutes because it would be super boring to watch normal farm lanes for 10 minutes minimum. They also have to lane swap, because a bot lane may have a disadvantage, and most of the time the top laners can't handle the 1v2 so they roam with the jungler/support in the first part of the game. With no one in that empty lane to defend, why not bring everyone and get an easy global gold to the team?
Hopefully they'll hear us on solo queue too...

No one scares about solo queue.
It takes Riot an absurd amount of time to actually hear the community and make a change.
They also acknowledged the Shen rework not being up to the quality they wanted! Then said they have no plans to change it [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]
I would love it if they made the turrets as varied as they were before, back when the middle turrets had a shield and gave allied champs shields.
Where did they say this?
The state of the season post, came out about a week ago
Riot does listen, they just take time to get things done.
I can definitely understand it, I'm studying programming myself so I can totally understand it. it's like wrangling cats.
I've tried pointing as much out to people before. I took a semester of web page design and a semester of 3D modelling. This isn't stuff you can whip up in a day. Just making a web page like this could take several days working 8 hours a day. Now building models, coding interactions, defining parameters, bug checking, rebug checking, going over the code to make sure you didn't leave something out. And this is just the programming side of things!
ya no kidding. just making an ascii map and basic movement can take hours sometimes XD
Issue is when we something could be reverted back to how it was before and they take 3 months to do that.
I understand making properly functioning code and 3D design takes time but making turrets have some armor should be just a number change.

That's more of a standards thing. Riot has said on a few occasions that when they make a change, they do so because they want to try and improve the overall health of the game and to revert it is almost never the right direction. Instead of something that was overnerfed needs to be buffed, they seek a way to buff it in a way they feel improves overall game health instead of reverting a nerf which they feel would harm overall game health.
Even when they revert something they have to go through the same procedure. It's entirely possible that code no longer works with the game because of patches and hotfixes they've put up during those months. And even if they would just give towers, say, 50 more armour they'd still have to play test it a lot to make sure it works in the current state of the game. For all we know, adding 50 more armour to towers could make games 20 minutes longer because you wouldn't be able to siege as effectively and suddenly every team run 5 marksmen to be able to siege at all. An extreme example of course, but you never know how big consequence something small could have unless you test it thoroughly.
Do we not remember the months of Rioters coming forward saying "no towers are stronger now here's the math!"? But now even the pro commentators mention, during matches, how much weaker towers are today vs S5. So Riot spent months trying to convince us otherwise only to finally cave and admit towers are weaker.
Either
A: Riot honestly didn't know how weak towers are even with players/pros saying as much (incompetence)
or
B: Riot wanted quicker games and though this would speed them up (lied)
Your pick.
Yeah, years after it's become a running gag; I'm not expecting them to actually buff turrets till next decade.
