Kassadin desperately needs more health per level. Here's why..

So, I've noticed there have been quite a few base stat buffs to many champions while Kassadin, who is already nowadays weak, is left even further into the dust. Lets start with some reflecting for the past.

Kassadin was once known for being a crazy snowballing assassin that can fully nullify mages and permachase/slow his target for easy kills. Now, people may argue that these values of Kassadin are still alive today, which they somewhat are. The problem though is that after Kassadin was receiving nerf after nerf and left in a very weak spot, they changed the uses for how RoA works, being a mana/hp item more favoring mana/ap. Now, tis true that he can just a bit more damage with this item, but the real reason why Kass sits at a depressing 40% wr is the fact that RoA, a core Kass item provides not a lot of health now. Kassadin already has only 78 health per level. For his core item to be even further more not benefitting for his health, leaves him very very squishy... with still not that much damage at all considering his repeated nerfs that has relegated him to a slow bot.

Also, his riftwalk range has been hit quite hard not long ago. This makes it a whole lot harder for him to actually enter a fight and often suffers from damage taken before he even enters in. Once he actually gets in, you better pray you have a zhonyas or you'll explode instantly, only doing probably 600 mid/lategame damage to your opponents (which is extremely low)

My verdict is that with all of the recent changes lately, it has made Kassadin in a VERY awkward and VERY weak spot. I'm sure most of us has had our PTSD before of when he was OP, but he's so far gone now that some small durability buffs won't set him over the edge. I just dont like seeing all these base stat buffs on the PBE and Kassadin not be included. It's like kicking dust onto an already wounded dog.

Kassadin

Health per level increased to 87 from 78 Kassadin once again has MR per level 32.1 +1.25

kass doesnt need more health he needs a reason not to buy health items in the first place he should be focused on blowing him the adc or apc but instead he cant do that since riot nerfed him to the ground hopefully since he just got one SMALL buff in the pbe he will be useful again and not a troll pick

they should rework his kit idk why they made a champ that heal enemies i kinda miss dealing damage with kass

Imo, he should be pushed towards more of a DPS assassin, and giving him a HP per level buff would help him in that vein a fair amount since he has low damage and is forced to stay in and around fights longer than almost any other assassin. something like 84-87 health growth stat would give him between 102 and 153 more health at level 18.

He also deserves his MR back. Being an anti mage and having defense against magic damage al just to have your MR per level removed is just bad design. change his passive to something else if it's too strong, but give him normal stats at least.

Not only is his damage not good they are also buffing MR. So yes he could afford to be more tanky.

After talking about Kass in depth on the boards for a long time, I think he needs scaling MR more than he needs health. That would allow him to do his intended role as an anti-mage assassin. If they do this and give him the ult damage buff that's on the PBE, he will be back in a decent place.

Kassadin is a great example of a horribly designed champion.

There's no middle ground for his kit. He's either too OP, or entirely useless. Which is a pity because they did try to fix him but he just needs to be Fiora'd/Karma'd... because his current kit is out of balance. Which is even more funny with that one quote he has.

He's the lowest damage assassin in the game, with no utility, useless CC (1 second slows are useless), heavy constraints on his abilities (Quadratic mana costs, stack requirements, and he's not even the most mobile champion in the game anymore. He is inferior to Leblanc in every substantial regard.

Kassadin just needs his ult range back, and damage actually added to his kit, or at least cooldowns that aren't retarded. (Like, what is the point of having a 2 second ult if my other abilities are on 9 second cooldowns??)

kassadin is probably the most annoying to champion to lane against who was innately tanky in lane and was capable of too much glad hes gone sincerely nearly every mid laner

Its not that its a bad idea. But lets understand the buffs hes getting.

Before, every single thing that was part of kass was nerfed and switched around. (R-W dmg) Now they ADDED to his overall dmg. A first. Now all his 4 abilities can hurt. which wasnt the case before. Since he was made only 3 abilities could truly hurt and one was conditional (E)

I think his health should stay the same to keep some item choices.

Btw you and I. I do add scaling health on my rune page and liandries for xtra health and burst.

I am in agreement for his MR scaling. But i think they should remove his Q shield and give a 0.75-1 sec silence instead. then he wil be what he is supposed to be.

The good thing with the itemization is that it ends his early game a lot sooner, giving him a better window of strenght for the mid game ( as the ap scaling is a 100 now) BUt his mid game powerspike stall for a very long time since hes forced to rush rabs to compensate all the-now 100 ap items. Or if he goes the 100 ap items route, it delays it for too long.

Lemme tell you what I did with Swain.

RoA sucks on him now, for the reasons you are stating. I started building tear instead, and then rushing haunting guise. This build is superior in every way to the RoA/Hourglass build I used before. I don't even miss it.

Experiment a little.
