Top Lane: Shortest straw?

Why is it that nobody ever wants to be in the top lane? Lately, I have been stuck picking up the top lane because nobody takes that and 3 fight over mid lane.... And it usually is me holding down top lane against 2 people (luckily usually melee) Why do so many want to be mid, or even support?

Looks like your still level 12. Don't worry, that will soon go away once you reached level 30. Holding top lane in a 1v2 tends to happen pre level 30, as no one can really Jungle without runes and masteries.

Try Sion. He seems to take the 1v2 fairly well compared to most laners. If you play it safe, you should manage to have an XP advantage (and possibly even a gold advantage) over either of you opponents. After that, defusing the 1v2 should be a matter of targeting the weakest link.

During the BMB mode, I had to 1v2 a garen and lux, as Sion. This was a bit annoying since Garen did Physical damage and Lux did magic damage. Making it difficult to Itemize early. But I found that if I focused my more Damaging abilities on Lux, She would have to back off. Giving me a much easier laning phase.

Because of the law of top lane :

The harder you stomp top lane, the harder your other lanes feed.

And since top lane is the farthest from all the combat it's hard to make sure they don't keep feeding, especially since summoner 12 can be hard to coordinate in solo queue so if your team doesn't make the most of your TP you just lost a 300 cooldown spell.
