@Riot: Why is ranked scoring directly based on Win/Loss? Why does it punish everyone for having AFK?

I have been in a few matches lately with AFKs and that has been bringing down my ratings hard... In my trial matches, a third had AFKs and those are almost guaranteed a loss, no matter how well you are doing, you just CAN NOT cover the lanes with just 4 people and succeed. Why does the team get punished for AFK players? It is apparent that the system acknowledges that there is an AFK with red lettering on the name in the end screen. If a team loses with an AFK, the points shouldn't get so negatively affected.

Now, on the other hand, an AFK SHOULD be punished severely with points loss.

PS: Moved here at Riot's request

Afks actually work in your favor because your team has 4 players including yourself and enemy has 5 so enemy team has a higher chance of having an afk(assuming you don't afk yourself) If your team has premades or duos they can just have their teammate to afk so their loss wouldn't impact that much if you want that system to be implemented.

Because RIOT only cares about money, not the quality of their game. They do not care how much you lose, or how toxic their player base is as long as you keep playing. The AFK should be banned for a week, be moved down and entire division, and lose all the LP while the 4 players left lose none. And to prevent abuse of a smurf queuing so they quit if the team is losing, any one in the queue with the afk also suffers the LP loss.

I feel like for people in a group, the whole group should be punished evenly, although in soloq, the afk takes a massive penalty, while those for other randoms have a lesser penalty.
