Lets adress a real problem: premades.
Premades are quite the thing. They're idiots, they play like shit and they blame their team and report them together when they inevetably lose.
There, now that's out of my system. Premades can be a good way for a team's bot lane to improve, or just for friends to play together. And that last one is the one I'll be adressing with this thread. ctrl+f to WHY THEY'RE A PROBLEM to skip the anecdotes.
Friends play together. Friends who will always defend eachother, no matter what happens. My last 2 games are a textbook example.
First I played with a 3-man premade, on Summoner's Rift. Game starts out beautifully with the adc going afk in the lane bush and the jungler never connecting. "Don't worry!" our Zed says, "their games crashed! They'll be back soon!" This is the worst omen you can get 2 minutes into the game. They returned and everything went quite normal, Zed gloating about his "skills" (I couldn't help but giggle at this) as he killed their first time Jayce once or twice before Yi caught on to his overextending and killed him 5 times in a row, he never warded once throughout the game. And Kalista finished her first item 30 minutes into the game. Average silver-ish game.
Now, as we all know: for every premade player on your team there must be a premade player on the other team. So in short: we got destroyed.
Second game was ARAM: We were winning, we were in fact destroying them. Suddenly Jax goes afk "for a few minutes :)", and by routine I start asking the team to report him "But!" his buddy Sion cries out, "he's helping his family! and family is more important than anything!" No, no it's not. His family doesn't matter to me, his family doesn't matter to my team, his family does not matter to the other team. When I cleared this up, I was informed that I was getting reported by the Noxian juggernaut. Because "I can hear him lol he's helping his family bronze noob".
I tried to explain to the... human (I have my doubts, honestly). That was behind Sion's controls, that being able to hear him doesn't equal not being afk.
Jax stayed gone for 20 minutes, we lost the game because it was a 4v5. I was furious, my team was furious. I hadn't even reported Jax yet before I got the message we've probably all seen before warning me that I've been reported for Verbal Abuse.
Fucking. Verbal abuse.
At this point I'm even more pissed off, so I stay in there arguing with the two idiots that reported me until I got fed up with it and left.
So, premades. ** WHY THEY'RE A PROBLEM**
A duo premade can easily get you a major amount of reports, when they feel like it. This can quickly add up to a warning, a chat restriction or even a ban. A Three-man premade, though more rare, can potentially turn the ENEMY team against you too, because it's the three of them against you. This can theoretically triple the amount of reports you get in one game. Nevermind a 4 man premade.
**WHAT CAN BE DONE ABOUT THEM **
Now, I'm not saying premade queue should be disabled or whatever. Though I have been thinking about a quite simple solution to this problem.
Either allow premades only one report each, or allow only one of the premade players to report people. This would balance out the "rage reports" from disgruntled premade players because one of them got into an argument or in my most recent case, went afk and got reported for it.
