Reported for verbal abuse for being too positive, I've seen it all.

For some enigmatic reason, I played AP Ezreal last game and did horribly as usual. Of course I got mad at first, but after the initial rage I tried to be as supportive as possible both gameplaywise and trying to keep morale up over chat to my (possible 4 man queue) teammates. I've never actually been flamed this hard for no apparent reason. The interesting part is that it wasn't because I was doing shit. It was because I was being positive.

One by one they muted me and informed me I was getting reported. After 60 minutes they decided the enemy Nexus had to die and charged it one by one, leaving me alone to defend the base against super minions from 2 lanes. Of course, the enemy Nexus did not die. And it was all my fault. After the inevitable "gg easy" from the enemy Vayne (big shock) and Azir, I got a warning saying I've been reported for verbal abuse. So I dealt out my share of reports and just left after being told what a "waste of space" I was.

Now, if I had access to the chat logs it'd show me getting mad the first 10 minutes before falling silent for a while and then only saying positive things. And yet I'm the one that gets the warning. The enemy Singed even agreed that it was unfair. If this doesn't show that the Report system needs changing, I don't know what does. Not to mention the automated warnings, which are insult to injury and quite honestly are completely unnecesary.

The message you got from the reports it just informing you that you were reported by more than 1 person, someone from Riot will eventually look at the logs if your reports continue and see if you are at fault or not. Really there's not much you or anyone can do other than move on to the next game. The reports won't ban you unless the person from Riot decides it is a suitable punishment.

I can't speak to the specific example, but since you don't appear to have been punished I'm assuming it was the client "whoah relax bro" warning thing that you're referring to. I'd say just keep this in mind moving forward and put it behind you, if you aren't at fault you won't be punished for it.

Wow getting reported for trying to be positive... This makes the Call of Duty community look very mature.

A Vayne being a cocky asshole? I've never heard of that before.
