Riot, Improve Your Bot/Script Detection.

There is probably 1 bot for every 3 players at level 1 to 20 in Co-op vs AI games. They buy boots and only boots and run down mid suiciding for 20 minutes straight. They either don't buy anything else or they stack cloth armor. They say nonsense like "GJ", "WTF", and "Frozen" for no reason. If you get more than 1 in a game or if you have no veterans to carry, there's a good chance you're gonna lose the game.

To have a single bot play more than one game without being permabanned is a huge failure. Most games have such advanced AI detection that they will auto-ban you for doing bot-like movement such as similar timed actions over a period of time. There are a few ways Riot could make the game less terrible for new players.

  1. Have new accounts only play with other new accounts for the first few games. By the time an account has finished 3 games, the bots should be banned, or else Riot's AI detection is as primitive and ineffective as it could possibly be. This way new players who are going to feed anyways will be matched with the bots, and once they've completed a few games they'll never have to put up with bots again, along with the rest of us.

  2. Improve your AI detection so that it is effective enough to ban ingame. When a bot is doing extremely obvious scripting, it should be banned immediately and either replaced with a friendly AI taking over the champion or have an enemy AI afk to make the game more fair. At the very least, this will force bot users to improve AI so that they feed less and make the game less horrible for new players.

If you don't understand how serious this issue has become, you haven't been playing Co-op vs AI on a low level account. 50% of games I have at least one bot on my team, and probably 10% I have 3 bots and the game is either unwinnable or you need 2 veterans to carry if you hope to win.

Why on earth do people just randomly downvote stuff like this? This is a good suggestion. Twisted Treeline has a lot of bots, too, but they seem a little more sophisticated than what this post described. Riot may have trouble handling those.

no, no, no. having a company jumping down it's playerbase's throat, trying to modify every bit of their behavior, dictating to them what they can or can't do and when, trying to change the very nature of human social interaction itself is reasonable and worth doing. banning bots? that's some other companies job.

I disagree with forcing people out of AI matches but I have seen the bot situation firsthand. Levelling this account up I can't tell you how many I had to suffer but it isn't an exaggeration to say I had at least one in every game. With Dominion gone, the place where all the bots were apparently, they are now doing AI matches on Summoner's Rift.

I've even ran into them on ARAM where the other team had 2 bots that cost them the game by repeatedly doing dumb bot things. I honoured the other 3 because they still tried but it is getting worse by the day, not better. I've reported any bot I've seen but honestly Riot are not saying anything so it just feels like they aren't doing a thing.

I have played around 10 coop vs AI games this week. Average 2 out of 5 were bot in a game. I lost a game with 3 bot and 1 newbie, i got 35kill also lost the game.

well just report them and send a support ticket with some evidence (screenshots) of the bot/scripter. That's the only thing you can do. If you don't report them they'll just keep roaming free. You have to be very careful with this type of things since you don't want to flag a legitimately new player with being a bot/scripter just because of the way they build/behave
