All these years, I've been fighting Leblanc all wrong...
I wanna share something embarrassing today.
Did you guys know that If you move out of range, you can break Leblanc's Ethereal Chains without getting rooted? Because for the longest time, I sure as hell didn't. I legit only learned about this today while duo-queueing with my friend who is a master-tier Leblanc main. After the game, I immediately checked out Leblanc's entry on the wiki and it turns out that indeed, that was the case.
All this time, I thought that getting rooted by Leblanc was simply punishment that you deserved for getting hit with her hard-to-land chain. So me being the meat-for-brains Xin Zhao main that I am, decided years ago that when I do get chained by Leblanc, I would always FLASH IN OR AUDACIOUS CHARGE RIGHT BESIDE HER. My reasoning at the time was that since I thought I was going to get rooted 100% anyway, I might as well be in melee range so that I can still whack her with my spear. And call it sheer luck or pure DPS, but as impossible as this sounds, doing this has ALMOST ALWAYS WORKED for me in my mind. I literally thought that this was the actual, proper counter to getting chained by Leblanc. Flash in and whack her with a spear.
Now all I can think about is how fucking retarded I must have looked to every Leblanc player I did this to. What about you guys? What are the things in League of Legends that surprise you with how embarrassingly long it took to learn about?
"Tricky, aren't y- HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT WTF IS HAPPENING"
, or -putting down some well-placed traps. I assume they just want him to be a little more team-reliant and based on planning, rather than "oh hey one of my grenades randomly bounced to a dude, sure lemme go in now."

do double the damage on movement-impaired unit, but only for its passive damage. In some ways, you're still right.
