Windwall change

What if instead of absorbing ranged abilities it stops them, and if they have an after effect such as Galio Q, or velkoz Q the effect still goes off.

Example, Yasuo windwall's ashe arrow, but he does it at the last second, instead of the arrow just dissapearing, and instead of yasuo getting stunned (since it technically didnt hit him) he still receives the AoE damage from the ult and the slow but not the stun that normally would have occured if the arrow had him him directly (since it hit the wind wall instead)

Compare to: Yasuo, he can tell the enemy ashe is gonna fire her ult so he wind walls early, the ult strikes the windwall but he is far enough away that the ult fizzles on the windwall.

This would allow Yasuo to still stop projectiles, but leave abilities still able to give off their special effects. Compared to braum who takes damage, and effects from abilities he stops, it seems like a step in the right direction to improving yasuo's in counter play with projectiles.

It rewards being preemptive and knowing your opponents over just straight .01 last second reaction time to negate all damage.

TL:DR instead of wind wall wiping abilities off the map, just force them to explode upon impact yielding their effects as if they reached their intended target or impacted a champion.

yes this is a wonderful change, 100% agree on that one. tho braum does completely nullify the FIRST ability that hits him too, but since its just the first, i guess its fine.

Only the damage of the first thing Braum blocks, statis effects like Thresh Q will still hit him and pull him towards Thresh.

what? are you sure? i was pretty sure that it does block everything, even thresh and blitzcrank hooks but the wiki saith that it only blocks damage... hmm.. i dont know. im not unsure now ;D

Wiki isn't always correct... But with Braum, his shield will completely negate all damage of the first ability blocked, and reduce any more damage that he will take during the duration of his shield being up.

Stuns, snares, knock ups etc. can all still effect Braum, he just wont take the damage from X cc effect.

Yasuo's windwall is perfectly fine imo. Keep in mind it's his only defensive ability and it has such a long cooldown even at max rank that his ult's CD is almost shorter (max rank 25s compared to 30s ult cd). Yes it'll stop all projectiles and wipe them off the map, and for champions such as ezreal/draven/ashe/jinx it's really annoying to see those long range ults get stopped by a single ability. That doesn't mean splash damage should still apply or vel'koz Qs should split still. The point of it was originally to nullify all projectiles with a travel time and their effects to make yasuo bring something that can benefit the whole team. Counterplaying windwall=positioning in short range situations and vision control in long range. most of the time those last second wind walls happen with the mentioned ashe ult is because there was a ward that extended vision just enough to let the yasuo see it coming in time. Yes the ability is a tad annoying and i can understand that much, but it's long cd and ability to position around it makes it pretty balanced

Except if you consider his dash a defensive/offensive move, his passive is also a defense/offense mix, his ult can be used to dodge as well, and his Q can also be used defensively and offensively.

When compared to braum who blocks projectiles, but still receives a portion of damage after the first, takes any status ailments with it, and while he can move, if hit from behind he receives full damage, although I still believe the shield will stop projectiles even from when behind.

I believe you are over exaggerating the fact that yasuo would suffer from this a ton. There are actually abilities ,while not many, that already impact the wall and just drop, still applying its effect, im saying it should be more consistent. Plus if you are on the right side of the wall, most abilities would still not effect him, in reality it wouldnt change much at all for him, it just rewards good vision and calling opponents, instead of last second panic

That takes away the skill portion of the ability though, I've played a ton of Yasuo, and when Ashe or Morgana is about to point blank stun me, my instant reaction time or predicting the ability when I'm practically sitting on top of my target is what keeps me in a lot of fights. I can see how windwall is broken, but the champion is so squishy, if he gets cc'd literally at all hes dead, especially if the enemy team has a frontliner. (This is all in assumption that everyone is equally fed.)

Ashe would only apply the slow and the small damage from her ult, and morgana wouldn't hit you at all with this change, UNLESS you decided to run forwards into the binding or the arrow instead of hiding behind the wind wall.
