What did people expect from Akali rework?

I mean for me, personally I expected some new and interesting assassination mechanic, a more healthy pre-six kit, a more healthy post-six kit, a kit with a higher learning curve, and for her W to remain intact as it is a champion defining ability, like Irelia Q.

IDK why people are so upset about it... It's duration got chunked unless you play peek-a-boo, It's cooldown is probably pretty long and not worth skilling up, it no longer slows targets so they get somewhat trapped in it, and she no longer can use it inappropriately to jump walls which ruins the smoke bomb thematic. It's an honest to god smoke bomb, no freaky self camouflage magic. Personally I think that the ability is a more interesting way to tell a same similar story, becoming untargetable is nothing new, Fizz has it on a basic ability, Kled has it as a passive that automatically procs when he gets in trouble, Vlad's got his puddle, In fact, I'm pretty sure Xayah is the only one with an untargetable Ultimate move. Each on has pros and cons and people freaking out about it is probably the least of my worries for this rework, I find myself more concerned with level 1 or two cheeses using E-E-AA and then Q to easily chunk people like a mini talon, or her pulling a tank assassin like Ekko and fizz.
