I didn't see any changes to him In the new season, But i play against him three games already And EVERY TIME he makes unreasonable amounts of damage and uses his abilities endlessly From the beginning of the game It feels like it's not possible to play against him and that's before he starts to be fed

KirotheImmortal2 votesTHATS WHY. Ryze isnt that great a mid laner. his range is garbage and the current meta for mid is poke. Ryze needs to basicly be on you to do anything while ziggs is an artillery type champ.
I like ryze. ive played him a few times but knowingly wasnt going to have a fun time. He can only spit damage out if he can get in close. Your better off picking up a new champ to play. Try Twisted Fate.

Never run into his spike traps. its alot more painful this his Q and also opens you up to take a free Q. if you have the choice of taking a Q or spike trap go with the Q.
Use your flashes to kite not to engage. If you end up in his spike trap flash. Dont try to walk thru it. Realy the thing you need to avoid the most is those spikes. It opens up alot of plays for ziggs.
KirotheImmortal2 votesI have a friend who plays ziggs alot. the only time he realy wins a 1v1 is when people take free Q's with no trade or runs over his Spikes. He easily gets kills and assists thru his long range ult so always make sure to ping if hes not in lane. and try to guess wich side he went.

He doesn't even do that much damage.
Also, the real reasoning for why you think Ryze is bad because he's heavily skill based. Since you're only Silver 2, you're probably just under-performing with him.

LOL I do not think Ryze is bad. but Playing against Ziggs feels like I'm constantly being attacked by his Q, a second after i dodge the first Q he already has another one and I can't do anything but run all game

Never said he was bad. I said not great. He is out ranged by most midlaners. and out classed mostly. Malz does almost the same thing but better.
I like ryze i always have. I am pretty good at him however im also good at aatrox, Both have other champs who can do them better. Ryze would be like the mid laner Jhin. Hes strong and useful, but just isnt in direct meta.
Ryze just needs something small added to him. Maybe more MR or more base movement speed.
