Can someone tell me how to beat Nasus.

In my recent games Nasus has been in a lot of them and hes won every time. I literally have no idea how to beat this champ, he definitely needs nerfs, but for the time being i need help to beat him outside of just banning him.

Use early game lane bullies.

Darius Renekton Graves Quinn Illaoi Pantheon VolibearTeemo

All of these do really well VS Nasus in particular.

Whenever he comes to gain stacks, all in him. You may miss one or two CS, but, in the early stages, many of these champions can take away half of his health with one good trade. Eventually, you'll have him too scared to last hit. With champions like Darius and Renekton, you can last hit AND harass at the same time, when you get experienced enough.

Although frequent all-ins will prevent Nasus from farming, do watch minion aggro. If you fight Nasus in the middle of his minion wave, he will win. Try to pull him into yours, use ranged attacks, or be swift with your trades. All of the above excel in at least one of these methods.

Ask for your jungler to gank, if he happens to be pushed up towards you or in the middle of the lane. Outside of summoners, Nasus has no escapes, and is very weak to early ganks.

Never stand in his Spirit Fire when trading. It reduces your armor, and can make even the early ranks of his Q, with few stacks, deal a lot of damage. When he is trying to use Spirit Fire, try to manipulate him into using it on the minion wave, so he'll hard push against you, leaving you safer from his jungler and him vulnerable to yours.

Try your best not to roam. If you use Teleport, or champions with good roaming like Quinn and Pantheon, it can be tempting. But just one roam can give Nasus 50+ stacks, undoing all of your work. Never leave him alone. Only roam when absolutely necessary, or to follow Nasus when he TP's.

Don't take the tower, if you can help it. Taking the tower gives Nasus a big cushion to free farm, since you can't push up for fear of roaming enemies. Save the tower kill until after mid and bot towers are taken, and you need to help objectives mid game.

Teleport is extremely useful late game, but if you really just want to utterly defeat Nasus in lane, Ignite can give you powerful kill potential. It's worth considering on the aforementioned champions who roam well.

Lastly, Rift Herald buff can give you a big advantage in lane. Be careful about killing the tower with it (Just leave when your minions are pushed to the tower), but the stats can help you steamroll a Nasus.

Hope this helps :)

If you choose Teemo as your lanebully my advice is to rush item 3135, because Doge is more than guaranteed to rush item 3065 against you. Works like charm, no stacks today.

  • early game try to set him behind
  • mid game or after his first itemish make sure to roam, alot of people get frustrated that they can't duel him anymore but the goal here is to overall get your team ahead of his
  • late game kite him with your team. A decent amount of armor should allow your tanky people to survive him, and your adc should be able to kill him.

Or the 4th strategy, pay more attention to the 14/7/2 ekko who was involved in almost all of his teams kills instead of the 2/3/5 nasus who didn't do nearly as much damage and was barely there for 1/3rd of his team kills :)

Perhaps the reason you get those remarks is because of the toxic attitude like that.

You have problems against Nasus, how about playing him and learning his weaknesses....

It's how i know how to beat Braum or Azir.

But for discussion purposes, here are a few champs i have had some personal success in top or jungle against Nasus:

  1. Renekton- Using a combo of E/W/Q/E then ult will bring down even the beefiest of foes.

  2. Azir- This guy has the poke to keep Nasus far away from him yet still close enough that he can just keep hitting him if he tries to farm.

  3. Kennen- The ninja yordle that has poke and can stun him. Even though he is squishy, he has enough of an escape to keep Nasus off guard. Build a Zhonya's and Nasus will have trouble.

  4. Urgot- This guy has enough poke and beefiness to be a major pain to Nasus.

  5. Evelynn- now she is a risky pick for jungle against him. But build her up enough and she can bring him down quick with some help from Top lane.

  6. Ryze- this mage has the power and tankiness to wreck almost anyone in top lane.

Other options (because i'm to lazy to keep going like above):

Illaoi, Shyvana, Tahm, Leona, Braum, Naut, Rammus, Yi, Yas, Zed....actually practically any champ can take on Nasus if you know how to use Nasus' weaknesses to your advantage.

I make remarks like that because I ask for help and I get comments like that guys, its stupid.

Well still, play the champ and learn his weaknesses.

Ok, but if you objectively read the comment, he gave you valid advice, and then continued on by showing how even tho the nasus won, he really wasnt the reason he won.

You completely over reacted, but thats just my view on it

punish him for positioning and last hitting when he aught to be watching out for your cooldowns

I even let him free farm a bit while I pushed other lanes. But team fights....guess who got taunted and did nothing at all in those fights.

Trundle Darius Pantheon Can really put Nasus behind in his stacks. Trundle steals his stats and makes him quite the duelist. Darius has early game bully like panth but gets that sweet true damage ult that cuts through the item 3110 like butter. Ask jungler for a few ganks to really set him behind. Once you're like level 9, if you're super fed just mess with him until you can't. If you can't mess with him, go roam. A fed carry can kill him while you peel. Nasus is really really easy to kite as a team.

little trick is to move through your minions so that they have to move beside. If Nasus comes to farm then, he'll get punished easily, by your own dmg cause he is to close to you, as well as the minions may focus him. then dont farm. your minions will have a better focus in the beginning, but then theyll get pushed by the enemyminions, so that nasus has to come close to your tower, where you can try to kill him. next point is to hit him with your highest dmg if he wants to land his q for finishing a minion, he'll think that you're stronger then he is, just because he gets punished for every cs he wanna stacks. often ask for assistence if his wave has pushed, so that you and your jungler can bait him if he wants to farm

i think that is a bit, to help you against nasus.Nasus

Try heavy poke champs, like teemo. Most of nasus power comes from his q, which gets stronger from last hitting minions with it. If you can prevent him from doing that, or punish him when he does, you'll win. Careful about his lifestyle passive, because it gives a lot of sustain.

P.s. just because you get beat by someone doesn't mean they need a Nerf

a nasus isnt going to want to trade with you til he has about 100 stacks and item 3024 item 3067 item 3057 that is the 1st three items a Nasus will get everygame. their goal is to max out cdr. the more cdr the faster he can use Q to stack. i have found as someone who plays Nasus champs like Darius Illaoi Fiora LeeSin Olaf Pantheon Quinn Renekton Trundle give him(me issues) i dont really care about Teemo . i havent played against a Illaoi enough to know how to deal with the matchup. champs that can do true damage Fiora Darius Olaf can bully him a bit and have the threat of killing him through his items because typically Nasus doesnt stack hp. a LeeSin Renekton Pantheon are lane bullies that have great early games that can easily kill Nasus . problem with those champs is if you dont abuse the early game you will be outscaled and nasus will slap you around like swatting a fly. the thing about Pantheon his passive if you know how to use it correctly can block a Q from Nasus meaning you block 300-700 damage from him with passive. as far as Quinn i find her more annoying due to her blind but if you can get a good wither on her you can really lower her dps and starting a item 1054 helps alot. now the Trundle , i have been on both sides of this match up. vs a Trundle you dont really want to duel vs him, he has one of the best 1 vs 1 games. His Q will take away your ad damage, he can frozen domain can counter the wither and his pilliar can set up ganks to kill you and as Nasus you have no escapes. and when a Nasus ults with all of his armor and his mr a ult from Trundle kinda just neuters the Nasus .

now far as playing the lane vs a Nasus the best thing i can say is if he is lane try to freeze it just out side your turret or no further then mid lane. you dont want to push the wave and push nasus under turret because a good nasus loves that, people say he will miss cs and early he may, but its a slow ramp up. if he has hes 3 core items and you shove lane he has enough cdr to last hit all of the creeps with his Q easily. if the lane is frozen he has to come out and be exposed to ganks. the best think to do is ask for ganks and somewhat camp him. if you push waves its really hard to kill him under turret.

now if you force a Nasus to back you want to try to rush the wave to his turret as fast as possible due to all of your creeps dying to turret. it is to deny him gold and stacks. also having a champ that is ok taking summoner 12 is somewhat important. a Nasus is gonna try to hang out in lane and stack and farm as much as possible and he can split push very easily with his Q and 30%-40/45% cdr. so being able to roam and help other lanes is ok but be able to summoner 12 back so you deny his split push when you can.

items to counter a nasus is item 3111 item 3009 helps alot vs his wither. when it comes to team fights walk the dog on a leash aka kite him Nasus has no gap close no mobility. a kiting comp is strong vs him, cc as always is good for any threat. as far as me as Nasus in team fights my goal is to wither and great aoe damage with spirit fire to make it easier for my adc to take down targets. if i get focused i will try to kite backwards drawing attention because i know ill be focused. thats ok. if i die the enemy team blew everything to kill me and my team should be able to clean up whats left. if i live and i get down to a 1 vs 1 i should win that. if enemy is aced and im alive i can take turrets in seconds and other objectives. if he gets full build and late game and has 500 + stacks its almost to late. you as the enemy have a better chance to ignore him in fights and take out the 4 others and then try to 5vs1 4vs1 3vs1 him and after he is dead push to end game.

Nasus is actually at his lowest power state he has every been in this game. he use to be really broken. for example his ult was stronger. it gave him more hp and aoe damage it also increased the ranges on his other abilities while his ult was active. meaning he could wither from half the lane away. among other things. also nasus is a hyper scaling champ meaning he can scale the damage on his Q endlessly. some other champs you might want to try is a Jax . jax is weak early yes, he cant really punish nasus too hard early. but a Jax can nearly 1 vs 1 any one late game and he can split push with the best if not the best split pusher. vs a Jax you dont want extended trades. as Nasus you do the more empowered Qs you can get off the more you damage is. but with Jax you have your dodge that can make the Q miss, and you get bonus damage from stacks on w and from the ult, you get bonus/free armor and magic resist just from getting damage. so that would be another idea

I like how nobody actually know.

Read all the comments. Half the people say one thing and the other half say another. Basically it comes down to if nasus' team really sucks that bad.. he'll end up losing. Otherwise, he'll destroy your entire team.

"Dont roam" - some guy "Roam More" - some other guy "deny his split push" - another guy "don't leave your team" - another guy

nobody really seems to have a clear understanding on how to beat nasus.

I think the only realy way a nasus is going to lose in low elo is by having a super bad team. Thats it. And even then he may still be able to split push a victory.

Well there r 2 ways to beat nasus 1:waste his ult cause it buffs him armor hp dmg and reduced q cooldown so run and let him chase u anf when it ends fight him tho try not to cause of his passive 2 his weakness (stuns) stun him to disable movement and atk (i recomend veigar for the job) Or use azir soldiers so he cant farm and azir is best counter for him Hope this helps:)

Alright, i just played a game against nasus and the best way to beat him is by playing as Garen, keep pressing q on him and keep being aggressive can make him loose farm and be forced to hug tower
