Sooo what are your opinions about this new kindred champion?

My personal experience has only been negative so far. I haven't played her yet, but i did play against her and played with her and my biggest problem with kindred's kit is ridiculous amount of power she has early on while also having infinite scaling on passive. I'm not sure yet whether this power comes from her base stats, amount of dmg sources on her first three skills or simply from her ridiculous early kite potential(I mean seriously? ahri level of kiting without lvl6 or long cd between those bursts of dashes?). But seeing as she dismantles LeeSin (Y'know that champion that everyone hates for his strong early) 1v1 and then immediately proceedes to murder Fiora on lvl 3 without any backup was a pretty unpleasant experience.

Then on the next game I played with kindred on the same team as midlaner Kassadin . And with only a little bit of help from me we took over enemy jungle to get her stacks. Again pretty ridiculous for early kassa and a supposedely late game champion. There was also this first drake that she was chunking down by like 1/20th of its max hp per hit and a baron later with a similar scary speed.

Then there was adc kindred on bot lane. I was playing support on the opposite team. And again, she was winning all the trades without a need to land any skillshots(as all of her abilities ignore minions, don't get reduced dmg for flying through them and target champions directly) and having this sustain(which just felt unfair on top of all her other strengths). She didn't get as many stacks on her passive but she didn't seem to need them anyway.

Unlike most of the residents on the boards I never felt that devourer was op on melee frontliners since while they are rushing their item 3718 + item 3153 they are very squishy for a frontline and they rarely apply pressure to lanes, which leaves junglers like JarvanIV or Pantheon or LeeSin a huge amount of opportunities to win the game early, snowball lanes and don't let them get to their late game builds. Kindred on the other hand is not weak early. Her ganks are pretty ridiculous with the amount of burst and mobility she has, her kit is easily abused in lane and, on top of it all, she has an infinite late game scaling. I think she needs either some heavy nerf in her early game or her passive reworked or removed entirely so she can make sense in the meta that you guys at Riot created and are trying to balance existing champions by.

Take it all with a grain of salt as I haven't personally played her and maybe I'm missing some information about ways to outplay her.

It sounds like both of the Kindreds you saw snowballed pretty heavily: Kindred is very dependent on getting early kills to remain relevant. The scaling on her abilities is practically nonexistent, and her autoattack range is quite low for an AD carry, so if she can't start stacking Mark of the Kindred fast, she falls off harder than Pantheon.

Her heal is boarderline broken in lane (I know it's not much but compared to the healing other champs have early on it's pretty insane), but outside of laning (and if she was the jungler and not the laner) I find her to be pretty weak. I've played against her two times and both times I would just stand in her ult until it wore off so and kill her before she could kill me because her damage after early game is garbage.

Too soon to tell...

I've seen Kindred's carry hard, and feed to the point of being reported... and everything in between. Personally, I'm waiting to play more of her until after the hype dies down... there is a VERY negative stigma right now.

She is snowball or nothing. If Kindred is behind she is worthless. Her ult has the potential of single handedly losing fights. If she can actually get some of her passive stacks early she is strong. There's really no middle ground for her. Also pretty difficult to fit into a team comp

If my teams could stay in my ult instead of running and dying and letting the enemy heal up that'd be nice.

Outside of my team being stupid sometimes, i still say she's bad (although, all of us aren't really valid sources). I say this because her AA range is low, her damage is low, and the animation itself takes forever to proc. Like you wanna use e? Ok well you gotta wait 1.5s before you can start attacking as the e has to get to them.

And besides mobility, I honestly don't get the point of q. You fire 2 other AA bolts while jumping a short distance.....k? Like with the w and e, at least wolf does something, but with q? Nope just jump and 2 bolts. Mobility is nice but that skill feels empty.

And, like I already said, my ults would be better if my team stayed in them instead of running and then my ult healing the enemy. The only occasion where my ult did good, was where my team had no choice but to stay in it, and we had a darius....nuff said.

I'm enjoying Kindred a lot while at the same time I'm still getting used to her idiosyncrasies. However, my biggest frustration is how the enemy team knows exactly which jungle camp Wolf is targeting. This means that either their jungler can safely and easily kill the camp in order to set you back or it means that the enemy team can throw a ward on the camp and converge on you the moment you show up to it. You already have to take the risk of entering the enemy jungle to get your passive stacks. You shouldn't have to deal with a big "Kindred wants to go HERE" sign on the enemy's minimap. If the enemy team has their jungle well warded and catch you out because of that, that's fine. But if they don't ward well, Kindred should be able to slip in and out unnoticed.
