This is a 5v5 Scenario, assuming skill level and cs are constant, which team would win? (based on matchups and comps, etc)

Team A: Riven Top Khazix Jungle Xerath Mid Caitlyn ADC Thresh Support

Team B: Irelia Top Rengar Jungle Diana Mid Sivir ADC Braum Support

Higher ranked players Team B easily.

Low ranked players.. 50 / 50

Team B. While team A has more poke, team b has way more all in potential with Braum, Irelia, and Diana. They also have decent engage with Irelia, team a only has khazix or riven who aren't really tanky.

Depends which one I'm on. It will be the opposite because of early jungle ganks, and the lanes I'm not in won't win.

However it should be team B...

Team A easily. Top is a skillmatchup, mid is a landslide in favor of Xerath, bot lane is a landslide in favor of Cait/Thresh. The pressure will be on Rengar to make an impact early, but Rengar is much worse at pre-6 ganking than Kha'Zix. Midgame, Team A has nasty sieging with Xerath/Cait and peel for them. Meanwhile, either Riven or Kha'Zix can become major snowball threats. Late game, Kha'Zix is much better at securing objectives or stealing them, the sieging power just gets stronger, and a single thresh hook is gg. There's literally nothing that team B can do.

After doing some research, i actually have to disagree with u there. Mid is an even matchup but diana has a slight advantage. Siv wins adc. She can use her shield to gain free mana on cait's traps &ult

How would Sivir win ADC? Cait can poke with autos from 150 range further than Sivir's autoattack range. Sivir could not even touch her. Watch some high elo videos of Cait vs. Sivir and see the difference. Cait can simply lay down a trap, let Sivir walk into it to proc spellshield, then there's a 15 second window where Sivir can get hooked and there's nothing she can do about it. It's in fact, incredibly stupid to waste spell shield on traps in such an incredibly hard matchup where Thresh hook or flash-flay could instantly win the lane.

How would Diana win mid? Pre-6 Xerath can poke her with auto-Q-auto every time she comes up to cs. Post-6 Xerath won't even be on the screen to waveclear and it'll be impossible to freeze against her because Xerath can Q the wave to break the freeze any time from far outside Diana's range.

Sivir Hard Counters Caitlyn. Her SpellShield counters every single one of her spells. she can literally gain free mana off of it. As of thresh, ya, it could be some trouble for her, but i don't think caitlyn could win this matchup unless Sivir is playing like an idiot and letting cait poke her left and right

No she doesn't. Please watch challenger ADCs or read their theories at summoner school. Sivir's spellshield is on such a high CD that it doesn't really matter for Cait, since her spells are on a much lower CD, and it's not a 1v1 in lane while Cait's autoattack range is higher than Sivir's. The burden is on Sivir to use spells to mitigate autoattack disadvantage, Cait doesn't even have to use a single spell in that lane if she doesn't need to.

I'd have to disagree with you, top really does depend on the skill level of the players, Mid would be in favor of xerath, but he would have to hide under the tower to avoid an all in and Dianna can then freeze the wave robbing him of farm, bot lane I have to say goes to Sivir/braum because cait/thresh really don't synergize as well, jungle I can't really weigh in on.

Try freezing the wave mid as a melee against a ranged. It's hard enough as is and Xerath can break the freeze at any time with Q unless Diana wants to tank the wave at level 6, at which point, Xerath can just break the freeze again with Q. Cait + Thresh is also a classical lane combination because Thresh can hook or hook-flay or flash-flay people into cait traps, while Thresh gives Cait even more escapes. Braum+Sivir on the other hand is a very short ranged lane that has zero influence or ability to do anything to Cait without taking harass damage.

In teamfights, the burden will be on team B to dive, but they won't be able to dive easily with Thresh and Riven. Team A has far superior sieging capabilities and just has to set up outside a turret and waveclear. Team B has only Sivir as their long ranged waveclear, but if she's waveclearing, she's walking into Xerath and Cait poke range. There's literally nothing they can do if Team A sets up vision correctly.

actually Sivir can potentially get better range then even Cait with her W into the wave, and for xerath breaking the freeze he is very immobile and without the cover of the tower he is suseptible to dianna go all in on him, Sivir and Braum may not be as traditional as Cait/Thresh but Braum can actually make Thresh's hooks a bad thing for them...last thing i'd want is a Braum getting too close to my carry, and Braum is all about limiting the other guys escapes with his passive, Q, and R

W is every 5 seconds, Cait's autos are every second. There is a reason why Cait is considered a highly dominant lane bully into every bot lane matchup while Sivir is considered a scaling ADC - she just doesn't have the low CD poke - autos - that Cait has. Like, if you just watch high diamond or challenger bot lane matchups, you'll find that there's nothing Sivir can do.

And how would Diana all in him? Xerath Q has 1400 range at max charge, Diana Q has 830 range, ult has 825 range. He has a Caitlyn autoattack range up on Diana, Diana can't even touch him without flash. Xerath waits for the wave to get low from minions fighting each other then uses a single max range Q to clear it then leisurely walks back to turret. There is literally nothing Diana can do to kill Xerath if Xerath is not bad. He can get every single minion in the wave and then outscale Diana in teamfights.

Like, all you need to do to realize how wrong you are, is learn the conditions needed to freeze the lane. These conditions do not exist in a Xerath vs. Diana matchup.
