Ardent Censer should apply to single target spells along with auto attacks.

It'll help increase the comps where it works well, and it'll stop me from being so stingy with my heals.

It can't really be abused any more than auto attacks, Cassiopeia, Ryze and Karthus (and Ezreal but he uses on hit) have spammable abilities that are single target, but will that honestly be more than Kog'Maw or Vayne's 2.5 AS (i.e. you need an ability that's point and click, with 0.4 cooldown, or in Kog's case, 0.2 cooldown. And no mana. And can be applied to another 2 targets if you buy a specific item.)

And supports will have a reason to not just dump everything on the ADC (and occasionally autoing bruiser) and give a huge F.U to the other 3 allies, now they can heal mages and ability tanks too.

Ardent does need some help for sure. I wish it had 50 AP like other support items: item 3050 and item 3092, instead of 40. Would also like the passive to be better and your suggestion is pretty cool.

I usually feel bad for getting ardent since Zeke's is just a better purchase in most cases.

Karthus has 0 single target abilities. His Q is AoE

And ryze with ult up has 0

Karthus's Q counts as single target if it only hits one enemy, as an exception to other abilities.

Ryze's Q, W and E count as single target, but his E only counts as single target to the target he uses the ability on, not any other champ hit due to the AOE. Another exception. His ult adds extra damage but does not change the single target effect on the original target.

For karthus, I"m not sure about that. You get double damage for hitting a single opponent, but I"m still pretty sure you function as AoE for spell vamp and such

For ryze, his ult seems made to exploit the spell vamp system if it works this way.
