Karma support build path

Long story short, I used to play a ton of Karma, and I mean back before she joined the "meta." After taking a couple seasons off from supporting I decided to give her another shot after watching some aphromoo videos. I've been doing his style of heavy roaming through river to mid and into enemy jungle for ward placement, etc. Those are things I'm typically afraid to do on supports but with her movement speed and CC I feel fairly safe spending a lot of time roaming. Anyway, how should I be building?

So far I'm 3-0 with her. I adjusted my build 2 of them games for very fed AP mids on the other team, and it paid off in the end. But let's say in a normal game with their midlaner not getting fed early, what should my item path look like?

I've been doing: Sightstone->frostfang->either eye of the watchers or defensive item->boots->then building situationally.

I'm wondering if early sightstone is my best buy if I'm doing the heavy roaming I've been doing. I almost wonder if a power spike item like frostfang or mobi boots would be stronger first back, but still kinda new to the play style so unsure.(I'm gold 2 and climbing! Trying to get to plat)

Hey, Diamond Karma main here.

My build order in a standard game looks like this:

item 3303 -> item 2049 -> item 1001 -> item 3174 -> item 3117 /item 3158 /item 3020 -> item 3107 -> item 3504 -> item 3190 (sell your item 3303 ) -> item 2045

Don't upgrade to item 3098 ; it's better to just leave it as item 3303 . You don't get to proc it a whole lot so it's not worth upgrading it as it pays for itself quite quickly and continues getting you gold just as the T1 item.

My boot choice depends on the game. Sometimes I don't build item 3504 (if my ADC is like Jhin for example) so in that case I opt for item 3158 but because item 3174 gives 20% CDR I hit 45% CDR without it if I do build item 3504 item 3107 .

You can finish item 2045 before you sell your item 3303 . And if you don't feel you need Locket, item 3151 item 3089 are both good options for a final item, Liandry's being better if they have a tank that your team is struggling to kill.

item 3092 item 3107 item 3190 item 2045 For boots, either item 3117 or item 3158 are fine. Last item, you either leave open for control wards or build a situational item. item 3143 item 3102 item 3222 item 3504 item 3512 or whatever else the situation calls for.
