Yes, you annoy the fuck out of him by denying him global executions with that .

That does not mean that he is no longer a threat.

If your cockblocker dies before (or even slightly after) Karthus does, it doesn't mean shit.

If Karthus can wade through your team and kill you with basic abilities, he doesn't NEED to use his ultimate.

If you stand on his fucking corpse and underestimate it, I cannot begin to describe the level of fucked you are.

I get it. The running joke about him and his "Just Press R" playstlye. If you want to play around just that, fine. Just don't complain when you and your team die to the onslaught of explosive skittles because you "wanted to save your shield for his ult".

He is the fucking lich king. Don't underestimate your heavy metal overlords.

problem is playing him perfectly is almost impossible despite his straightforward kit

compare to ryze and azir who are arguably harder to pick up but have way more tools than Karthus when mastered

unlike karthus they hard counter some champs so they have real reason to be picked

I mean... There's a reason Karthus is well and truly top of the damage to champions graph in almost every game. He's basically the "most DPS" champion, in terms of magic damage.

It always brings me great joy (and a giggling fit where I cackle evilly for the next minute) when my maxed cdr Q's knock out two or more of the enemy team because they underestimate the danger of standing near my death defied state.

Maxed out cdr runes with red spell pens and an abyssal caps me. Hilarious joy when I can pop off so many Q's in quick succession to knock the enemy dead, as well as lower cds on my ults.
