[Surrender Vote Window] Minimize It After Picking!

Deep Terror Nami··94 votes·2,241 views

It seems many times that a surrender vote happens, someone doesn't bother voting and lets the timer run out. During this time, you've got this annoying window cluttering your screen but not doing you any good.

I suggest that after you vote, the window minimizes to one side of the minimap, so you can still see the vote but it's not in the way. I made a quick picture to demonstrate. I put it on top because I've never once clicked those ping buttons, even as a fresh noob I used the hotkey.

I'm all for this. Getting rid of the window after you vote makes sense because the result is posted in the chat window anyway, so having it up after you vote is pointless.

I'll dump yet another +1 on this. It's an annoying obstruction and has near-0 value after you've already voted so it would be nice if it at least minimized after you've picked something.

This is a great way to make things easier and in case people keep playing then the vote window won't get in the way.

Its easier to just vote. if everyone just voted it would go away faster.

When it comes to interacting with the public as a game designer, you always have to assume everyone will do everything possible. You can NEVER just say "oh, if they just do/don't do this one thing, everything will be fine." A game like this should definitely be in the stages of trying to streamline their game to make the experience better. This suggestion definitely falls into this category.

Just an opinion. kinda what your talking about.

But your opinion helps nothing, his opinion actually has a foundation.

There is absolutely no con to this, especially from a business perspective (which, ya know, Riot is). Maybe a little extra programming, but there's no negative interaction involved.

Not really. I merely imitated how he asked others to shut up because it's just their opinions.

Sometimes I wait to see how the current/immediate next teamfight turns out, and then I vote.

That said, I love this idea. The surrender window is invasive and gets in my way.

So then you would vote no. There are multiple votes.

What? If we lose a teamfight horribly then I don't want to wait five more minutes for a surrender vote, so I'll hit yes AFTER the fight. If we come out even or better in a teamfight I'll hit no.

Unless you meant something else.

Śurrender2 votes

Well, you have to wait 3 minutes not 5.

why not just make it atleast much more transparent after the vote. or maybe rework the surrender as part of the chat instead (as the last line permanently until the vote ends or expires) and then it will say surrender vote: yes#/no# the actual vote could be just /yes /no or could just be a new hot key but that might be a bit much

Dr Poro1 votes

But you must be able to vote yes quickly while running away so the game ends right before you get caught!

Right click destination, enter, /yes

This would be nice i would like to see better window placement with the vote screen before you even vote. i sometimes ill pull it off my screen because idk if i want to vote yes or no, but then i accidentally hit yes when i bring it back on. to me its just a mess. but your idea will help when i instantly vote it will stop me from taking the screen away.

And while we're at it, remove it as soon as 2 people vote "no."

But yeah, you're right. It doesn't need to clog up valuable space once you've used it.

Either this, or making the surrender vote box more transparent/faded out over time would be awesome.
