Like the title says What are some good tanks that can work well as a support other than braum,thresh,Leona,etc
I’m talking champs like Shen and Sion top laners that work as supports just wondering if there are more champions like those

Infernape1 votesAside from the common supports like Tahm, Ali and Braum, top laners like Shen, Ornn, Poppy, Nautilus, and Sion can all be played as supports. Maybe even Maokai.
sneakydoug1 votesMaokai is a very underrated support. Good bush control and general vision with sapling Toss. Good engage and disengage. Good CC Also volibear. Is good in certain matchups. I like playing him from time to time against other tanks.

(yes rakan can be played wee tanky, but it's ify) 
These are champs I tend to lean on, but again it varies. I have tried 
and support tanks, but I personally have not adjusted to them yet. Malph is a bit more common than Maokai bot lane. Also now thinking about it, I think Volibear can be played as a tank support, but it varies for some people. Blitz isn't bad either and he can build tank, but blitz is a heavy mana user and you really need to know how to land that q properly if you go him. It also varies a bit on your adc. Some tank supports combo well with certain champs and others don't as well as knowing how to counter your bot lane. You can be the best X champ player, but some champs just counter you. Anyway, exploring champs is how you learn.

Oops. Read the second part of your post. Irelia is stupid strong no matter where you put her. Put her bot, dash around like a maniac and stun people with her blades. Plus, her r sets up a little arena for you and the adc to murder people in. Also J4.
Shrek Luigi1 votesMaokai is a very good support, thanks to his CC-combos and his innate sustain.
Malphite can be difficult to support with in some matchups, but his ultimate more than makes up for it. He fares better in teamfigjts than most others due to the huge aspd-debuff on his nuke.
Chogath can also be quite good, but his support-game is a major stat-balancing act because building too many tank items will really hinder his teamfighting-strength.
