League of Tanks comes back, Koggy is still the least played ADC.

item 3070 KogMaw item 3070

But at least he's not in the Top Five least played champions anymore, right?

Its a matter of time.

Also, a lot of the newer playerbase is spoiled by hypermobile champions and dont touch immobile squishies with a 10-feet pole.

Maybe because anyone with a dash can easily get to him and kill him?

Juggermaw isn't seen too much in the LCS because even for them it's a very hard thing to do right.

What... Kog is the strongest adc in the game right now vs the tank meta. He's picked often in LCS. The difference (reason you might not see him in games) is because it takes people a while to change their minds on champs (unless there is a number tweek) and because he is a team based adc. Not like Ez or Vayne who don't need the peal/support.

Vayne does higher DPS than Koggy without her Ult assuming the target has ~120 Ar/MR or more. So, you know, basically any tank who knows what mitigation does. That's including the resist shred from Koggy's Q. And Vayne can peel for herself.

But yeah, he gets picked in LCS. I've been saying for the past few years that Koggy should probably be tweaked so he isn't beyond godlike in heavily organized play while being free food when played by mere mortals. His problem isn't raw numbers, his problem is his kit design.

Well the reason Kog is better than Vayne in the tank meta is not his ult. It's the range on his W. 150 extra range means he is AMAZING if he has a tank line. Where as Vayne with a tank line has to be much riskier to do the same amount of damage. Peal is great, but vs the burst we see in todays game (even from tanks and supports anymore) that 150 range is much better than the knock back of Vayne.

Do you really expect Juggermaw in soloQ?

Honestly people don't care about team comps. I still see people picking Ezreal/Corki after I pick Lulu.

I still find it Hilarious that Corki and Kog'maw are seeing more play than some Siege mages, Because they have all the poke and AoE that a siege mage Requires (thanks to Echo), but without the Mana constraints that kept said mages down. Sure they buffed Athene's But perhaps not by enough.

But at this rate, the LCS arn't going to play him as an ADC if they still find him a better midlaner. I'll still play Kog'maw ADC, Though I usually prefer objective siegers like Jinx and Trist.

Back in 2009, a fellow from New Zealand survived a 15,000 foot fall when his parachute failed to open.

Just because a thing can happen doesn't make it the norm.

That man is the god of Kog... I shall worship and learn his ways. Tell him to post a guide or something.. that's remarkable. The link doesn't truly show his expertise on Kog... look at those match details, wow.

Basically he's hard to master. He's a great champ. Lot's of harrass for a adc. Over good champ bad players.

everything about kog'maw is gross. turn him in to a cool dude like graves or stereotypical attractive female #326802362 and he'll be played more.

Koggers isn't popular because he requires a team comp focused around him. You can't just slot him anywhere like you can a Graves or a Kalista or a Caitlyn, he requires specific picks to support him so he can survive long enough to do his job. That's why the Juggermaw comp is a thing. You don't get that sort of coordination in solo-queue, which is why he's so unpopular there - Nobody's going to go Lulu top, Nunu jungle, and Janna support just because the ADC wants to be Kog'maw.

This is my point, honestly.

Koggy is so specialized and requires such intense babysitting that he just doesn't show up for the most part. Vayne has a comparable win-rate and ten times Kog's pick-rate. Jinx deals less single target damage, but her range is just as good and hits in an AoE while being able to fit into basically any comp. There just isn't any reason to pick him save for games where you have Lulu, Nunu, and Janna all backing you up.

Koggy can't just have his numbers buffed until he's competitively viable in Solo. That would break him in high level play. The change to his Q... goodness that was about a year ago now? That favored his play in high-level games and actually nerfed him in situations where soft targets were getting up in his face. I suspect the route that would make him easiest to balance for would be to remake his W into a toggle, range on one side and %HP damage on the other. Bring back the nuance he used to have, long range, but packing a really nasty bite if you get too close.

It would fill me with joy if that bite part was literal. Make him bite opponents in melee range =D

If somebody asked me to play solo lane lulu I'd do it, I love solo lane lulu so much because she is basically impossible to shut her out of the game. No gold? Fine I'll just follow my carry like a lost puppy, plenty of gold? I'll burst people down then kite them to death

You can't make a Kog comp in solo queue.

Also AP Kog is becoming a bigger thing with Luden's whythefuckwasn't thisplaytestedmore so yeah

To be fair, that applies to basically any poke champion who can do the AP thing. Koggy needs to waddle around a bit before his next Echo-Ult is primed.
