The Jungle matters too much

It seems like 9/10 games are decided by the jungler and if our jungler is ganking more than theirs. Shutting down or at least staving off all the lanes.

Am I missing something? Is the jungle supposed to be that powerful in deciding the outcome of the game?

If Jungle and Mid both come bottom, it's more-or-less up to your jung and mid to come down and save bot, or it's gg the moment that tower falls.

There's just too much power in ganks at the moment... doesn't even seem like a risk to the jungler to just show up and be an annoyance.

At least mid is missing cs and such, the jungler can land a few hits or just force you to miss some cs then go back to the jungle.

The risk is falling behind in exp/gold. Junglers find it hard to keep up these days and a failed gank is incredibly frustrating for them. If you can keep a jungler in your lane fruitlessly then you're doing a good job of shutting them down.

except right now unless you are a super farm heavy champ like yi or udyr who can clear jungle camps in 2 seconds you fall behind the solo lanes in exp, you get less gold unless you are getting kills (not just the assists) and are overall weaker right now because of the fact the jungle hurts unless you have insane clear speed/AOE damage.

There are PLENTY of games decided by a lane winning really hard and snowballing.

But yes in a game where all the lanes are evenly matched a jungler is supposed to be the one who makes the moves, at least in solo Q when it's rare for anyone else to leave their lanes for the first half of the game, and those moves are again supposed to be what determines who takes the early advantage and usually the win off of that.

But no it's not about who ganks more often, it's who ganks more successfully. If a Lee keeps ganking none stop but never gets anything out of the ganks then he falls behind and due to that the other jungler could just farm and influence the match more so. That's less likely to happen, cause active junglers are far better atm, but even so it is basically a junglers job to upset the balance in even match ups, it's what they're there for.

Thanks for the wise words,

So what I'm seeing is League isn't gonna be for me anymore till active junglers fall out of favor? Cuz I'm tired of lanes being decided not by the skill of the two combatants but by the skill of a 3rd party.

Laning isn't a 1v1 or 2v2 though, this is a map wide 5v5.

As Top lane I tp into fights all over the map, as mid I roam to both other lanes consistently, and as bot lane you can push any tower you want really. Although yeah bot lane is usually decided by a 3rd, 4th, or even 5th party if you don't win it hard really early. Jungle just has an easier job doing that and at low elos tends to be the only person making moves around the map.

But even so, honestly especially in top lane I like to get a good amount of wards up and taunt or harass the jungler when they come by top side so I can keep them in my lane or around it to give my team some freedom or to get my jungler up for a counter gank. So if you're not really bad at this game it's not hard to actually turn that 3rd party intervention into a positive gain.

EDIT: By harass I mean walk over to them while they're doing Krugs if I'm blue side and hit them with a ranged attack. Not like verbal abuse, that's not the same as taunting them and is never ok,

But if you can't wrap your head around those facts then I don't think this game will ever be for you, it's rarely a solo laning experience and if you don't ward or you get baited then you're gonna get screwed.

Laners generally tend to have more influence. Junglers can help swing things but playing safe helps quite a bit. Junglers dont decide the game.

finally someone that is actually not retarded. seeing how bronze on board complain about how the new jungle is "so hard" is giving me cancer, junglers only have hard level 1-3 then the rest they influence the game the most

What would you rather have as the deciding factor? Its going to be something. It can either be a lane snowballing on its own (like ADC in S3) or the jungle helping out. If you want the jungle to have reduced effectiveness you might as well put a 4th lane in. At least when the jungle is productive it has a lot more options than a coin flip.

Late game team comp honestly, or overall map strategy. Not one specific role being able to frick up all the lanes early on.

You do realize that assuming two lane opponents are balanced and on relative skill level. The lane would be a stale mate.

You kinda need the Jungler to break the Stalemate, regardless of how strong Junglers actually are.
