There have been tons of posts about this but no real Riot response that I've been able to find.
Basically I just want Riot to say "yes we know this is a problem" cuz i'm gonna have to stop playing till it gets fixed and I can see it's fixed. Starting when everyone gets to level 3 is completely retarded and ruins the game.
I doubt Riot will fix this any time soon... maybe end of 2015... I said this multiple times, but have been shut down or ignored by Riot...

You're not the only one. I just responded to another post about this. I'm currently waiting for my files to re-scan as well. And of course, during a fucking ranked game. This doesn't happen 100% of the time, but majority. It started at 33% and refuses to make progress despite the file scanning progression. - I've tried restarting the client, my computer, everything. Checked my firewall. Nothing works.
Weird because during team-builder in normals I usually don't have this issue. But since 4.20/4.21 I have been getting SO many bugs like this. I'm probably gonna lose out on my promotion and fuck my team over. - And of course I'm gonna get reported for this issue.
And what's worse? I've had this happen to me more and more, and along with my friends and random people I've talked to. And from my understanding, Riot hasn't addressed this.

Happened to me for the first time ever last night. I couldn't reconnect and when I restarted the client it decided to check EVERY. SINGLE. FILE. in the league directory for updates. All 2900 something of them. Took like 15 minutes.
I just AFK'd and said screw it.
They don't give a shit.
this firewall bug has ruined so many of my games. and the worst part is im going to get penalized for it. this is wrong.
This has happened to me all day. Cant even load into my game as of this very moment. Fuck this game lost so many games cause of this bull shit.
I just got a firewall error and I have to patch again WTF? love losing ranked games because of this ._.
Yeah, this has lost me a couple of games already. I keep getting the "firewall issues" error after champ select. I tried the fix at the link below, but I've had to restart 5-6 times to connect to games.

It is really upset , i have to say this is the most worst thing ever. i used mac to play today,it says firewall things black blabla, it doesn't work even u turn it off!!!!!!i tried many times i thought its my mac issue, so i used w7 ,which same same happened again. team will blame at me and report me ,probably effect their rank etc, r u damn serious ??????this is huge problem

Erase the logitech files and you're good to go. But only do it after it patches. The logitch files are added back with every update.
I've encountered this issue 4 times since the latest patch, and every time I just immediately leave the game and click on "reconnect" in the client (on the page with Zilean on the lower right side) and that fixes it immediately for me every time. I reconnect to the server and suffer no penalties.
However, trying to use the popup that appears when the firewall blocks the game never seems to work.

It's super lame, but just so you know, as long as your not jungler you can catch up in xp relatively quick in lane, not saying its ok or anything, just trying to help :)
Or not being able to reconnect till the game is done is another good one... you know the deal "you have left a game in progress, this creates a blah blah blah...type i agree to continue" oh it wasnt your fault that you disconnected? oh well you get disciplinary action taken against you when its our faults. im pissed.
This only started happening to me within the past week. After champ select in normal blind pick I get a black screen and then the firewall error message pops up. However, when I close out of League and log into my smurf and start a game up it's completely fine.
I have had the same exact problem and it was during provisional's, I have no way to get into game and apparently it is still going to count it as a loss when I and my teammate could not connect. Fix your damn game riot, it pays you well so maintain it.
I have found if I get the firewall error, if you just click on the X instead of retry, then it will bring you back to the reconnect button and you just click on that and it will work the 1st time. Has for me every time.
