Playing against Fizz
Literally every single time is the worst experience I have in this game.
Every time he's on the enemy team (God forbid I have to lane vs him). Good or bad, he makes me just want to never play again.

I think the problem with Fizz is his mobility, and his escapes. He has a dash and his troll pole, which help him move around the map fairly easily. And his ult also slows anyone who tries to chase him. His passive also makes it easy to escape after tower diving. I can't tell you the number of times I've been blocked by minions (my own minions cock block me under the tower) after diving someone. Fizz will never have this problem since his passive lets him ignore unit collision. I think that Fizz just has too much in his kit, and certain parts of his kit offer no counterplay (his pole). That's why he's so frustrating for me.
What do you mean? A double gapclosing AoE damaging Zhonyas with a situational slow is OOOOOOOZING with counterplay, and player interaction to boot.

Who did you play as?
And as a Fizz player, let me tell you is that his greatest weakness is baiting out and making him waste his E. In early levels it's uses almost half his mana and it's cooldown is almost ludicrous. Make him waste his E and deny his farm and you will win.

Malz,
The problem I run into is to get him to use a cd I have to use a cd and maybe even more mana. On top of that anything past level 6 he's gonna have his ult up about 2x for every 1 from me AND if he throes his ult... i can't use mine.
as a malz player, i dont mind the fizz match up. harrass/farm with e, that alone should win the lane. most likely he will give up and try to roam. dont ult if he ults the knock up will cancel yours. you should win the lane if you dont get ganked, which can be tough since malz is a gank magnet. if you are getting camped, just try to keep up on farm. once you get zhonya, you should always beat him.

Beyond that, it's every champ I play it seems Fiz has half the cooldowns and it's on abilities that make it hard/impossible to hit him.

Lastly, it's not even about if they're a good Fizz or not, it's that playing against him (even if he sucks) is about the farthest thing from fun I can imagine.
his e is like a second ultimate
If u cant play around his weaknesses then mid is not for you

List said weaknesses for me please. What weakensses does he have that others do not have?
With a lack of a ranged option for clearing/farming and no sustain, his laning phase can be made hell by simply not getting in range and pelting him with poke. This isn't a Zed scenario where he can farm safely from a distance even if behind.
He's also snowball reliant, get someone safe like a solid poke mage with zone control (I like Viktor) or a tanky caster (I love Cho) and watch him whittle and die.
He's more balanced around counter-pick than counterplay but that doesn't mean he's uncounterable.
After they tweak Fizz's ratio and damage and all, TBH I think he's at least more balanced than before. Cmon, his previous Q one shots everyone with only 5 second cooldown :/
Actually, after he got changed I've never face a Fizz. LOL I'm a mid player but I've never seen Fizz mid anymore, he usually goes top or jungle now. As well as most building AD instead of AP. So I cant really say much actually
I'd agree with you if this was before they changed him around, and to an extent a bit afterwards. He's no where near as oppressive in lane, and if he doesn't land his shark, it's unlikely he's getting that kill. I hadn't played him in probably a good year or so until a few days ago and having done that I can see the problems fizz does have. His lack of wave clear is a big issue for him, so playing any champ that can keep him perma pushed is going to hurt him. Sure he could use his E, but that leaves him extremely vulnerable and leaves a good part of his mana gone.
Don't get me wrong, he's still a good champ, and extremely annoying in the right hands, but he's in a much better area than he was before. I also wouldn't characterize a champion being annoying with him being too good. Good Shaco's can make a game frustrating as hell to play, but I wouldn't say he's too strong.
How about the let hands?
As an old Fizz player I have never had trouble against him. Learn to play him and you will learn how to play against him.
Fizz is very predictable and it's easy to force average Fizz players into a lose-lose situation when they use E.
Yorick is hell if you don't have any way to poke or farm that isn't ranged
what is a "yorick"?
I used to think that, and then I got a couple games against a Riven.
I don't play Yorick anymore.
Stop whining OP. A free Zhonyas every 8 seconds that you can also use to hop over walls/escape and gap close is perfectly balanced.
I sat and cried and cried and cried as I wanted to play Karthus in blind pick and ended up laning against a Fizz. I had one engage early (like, level 1 or 2) where I almost killed him, but he escaped with like 10 or 20 health. And then I'd try to farm, and he would press three buttons and kill me. I'd sit under the backside of my turret, and he would press three buttons and kill me. I would never leave base and he would press 3 buttons and kill me. I actually got yelled at from a friend because I was feeding so bad. Even got "WHY WOULD YOU PLAY KARTHUS?" Well excuse me for trying to play a champion I like to play in a game I play for fun in a blind pick normal match.

Literally, I don't play Blind pick because of stuff like this. There are some champs I just despise enough OR are OP enough in a given patch that I refuse to Blind pick cuz I'm for sure going to run into them.
Take an early game champion.
and
both have much better pre-6s than Fizz does. Plus, once you do hit 6 Yasuo can windwall Fizz's ult and Riven will just sheer out damage him.
Play around Fizz's W, as it is what gives him early damage. When his Trident glows and makes splash noises, his AAs do bonus magic damage. Often, Fizz will use that to farm. Simply wait it out before trying to fight him.
: Bully him hard early. If he tries to use W to poke you, wait it out then all-in him. Without the attack steroid he does little damage early and Yasuo's DPS vastly out-weights his.
: Like Yasuo, as soon as Fizz activates W back off a bit, and use E if he tries to dash through you. Once his W runs out, simply all-in him. Unless he maxes it first, Riven's entire kit is on a shorter cooldown than Fizz's E. So simply all-in, he uses E, then all-in again.
The big thing to watch for is no matter how behind he is, his ult will still allow him to do extreme amounts of damage. If you get hit with his ult, either kill him right away or back off. Another thing is Fizz actually counters Malzahar, due to the fact that if Fizz lands his ult Malzahar can't ult because the knock-up will cancel his.
