You nerfed ahri but not gnar?

Really? The champion that can 50% an entire team with a full tank build? really? and dont tell me it takes a massive amount of skill to play him. his laning phase is easy and so is his teamfight. his jumping around bullshit is too good of an escape

Here's the problem I have. I don't know how it is in lower ELO's but Gnar when played with a semi-experienced gnar player has no weakness other than against champions with low cd all ins with massive gap closers(nobody). His jump isn't his only escape mechanism, his slow works as one as well. His weakness is SUPPOSED to be his squishy form in lane, but it's just as strong as his mega form. THEN when he gets out of mega form you can't get ANYWHERE near him because of his mobility. There is so little room to outplay this champion or even counterplay when played at a certain level and it's ridiculous.

His slow is easy to hit, he's manaless which means nonstop harass and escape spams and his mega gnar form's spells are ALL ccs with MASSIVE amounts of damage and animation delay on champions that it hits, and to top it off, just like Cassiopeia, if you get in range and get hit by one of his slows while running away, you get punished incredibly hard.

I'm not saying to nerf this champion to oblivion, but at least nerf his mobility so he'd have to play atleast SOMEWHAT safe in lane. It's WAY too tough to win lane 1v1 or even farm under tower against him and I can safely say he has no real hard counter.

This is messed up that I'm the first one to comment on this. But you do know that Ahri just got buffed...not nerfed right? That didn't slip past you did it...howabotu the other 9 comments so far. Did anyone, at all, catch that. That she didn't get nerfed. She got buffed. Clearly. Just...Pointing that out....

Chogath DrMundo Malphite Maokai Nautilus Ryze Sion Taric That trick isn't as unusual as you think. There are reasons to nerf Gnar, but that isn't one lol.

Lol got downvoted since Op got embarassed by the truth :p

Edit: Accidentally hit the edit button :p Juz saying that Gnar already got nerfed about 2 times before, and OP here got flipped out by Ahri's 1st nerfs.

Having just played ahri after the patch, I have to say its a stupidly high nerf.

E is absolutely pointless now and you may as well just trade with Q, throw and run which does absolutely no damage whatsoever since all it got was a crappy speed boost. Effectively your combo has lost a ton of damage.

My last game I was just against a katarina (the 'other' balanced assassin) I hit 3 charms in a row followed by Q, W and an ult. She went to just under half hp. On the other side, she shunpo's me, W and ults, instant death before I even had chance to react.

He's been nerfed the two previous patches. I'm assuming they are waiting to see the results before further nerfs. Anyway, play Irelia and wreck him if you hate him that much.

I don't know how it is in lower ELO's but Gnar when played with a semi-experienced gnar player has no weakness other than against champions with low cd all ins with massive gap closers(RIVEN). His jump isn't his only escape mechanism, his slow works as one as well. His weakness is SUPPOSED to be his squishy form in lane, but it's just as strong as his mega form. THEN when he gets out of mega form you can't get ANYWHERE near him because of his mobility. I fixed your typo. On a serious note, I have no idea if Riven counters him or not, and I agree Gnar is too strong, I just wanted to point out that one of the most popular AD toplaners in the game has exactly what you said is needed to go up against him.

I'm not sure how you've missed it, but you do know Mini-gnar is one of the few champions in game vulnerable to both pokes AND all-ins? He doesn't have the burst for short intense fights, and he doesn't have the health to health regen or withstand consistent poke. Champions with these in their kits tend to simply outlast Gnar, unless they try and do something stupid like chase him.

Darius Fiora Gangplank Jayce Pantheon Nidalee and so on and so forth. There are plenty of options.

gnar does not need nerfs he is fine if you nerf gnar renektons just going to his place at and gnars rage is a huge weakness he only has 15 seconds to do somthing if your team engages soon as its gone you will win the fight and gnar is extremely squishy early just kill him

JØJł1/29/2015, 9:31:10 PM1 votes

That's why I like to play Shyvanna top. Just /try/ to dodge his boomerangs, he can't hit all of them... and just watch his rage bar or w/e it is. Stay away from him when he turns into mega, and dodge his boulder toss. I usually wait until he's back into mini or if he's near half health as mega, and I have my ult up, I can go in and kill him.

Gnar + DFG was OP indeed

Gunpoint1/29/2015, 10:18:46 PM1 votes

Didn't they buff Ahri?

JJ H0G1/29/2015, 11:43:37 PM1 votes

Stand behind minion wave when he's in mini form to dodge his boomerangs, which have an 8 sec CD until he gets cdr and/or his ult.

His jump is high CD early, too. You said you are an Irelia main, and her dash is on a much lower CD than gnar's.

If you make him miss his Q catch, then he is very easy to all in.

Oh, and Darius, Chogath, Fiora, Jayce, Olaf, Gangplank, and XinZhao all work pretty well against him if you play it right. They can all either A). Bait his jump and zone him/all in him when it's on CD. B). Out poke him. C). Out trade him in drawn out fights. D). Ignore any and all CC he drops on them.

Plz no more QQ.
