Exhaust in the view of a talon main

How is exhaust even allowed to be as overpowered as it is? It completely negates an assassin's entire kit with one click and the CD is extremely short so there is no real window of opportunity in the late game, and one exhaust in the late game is all it takes to win... For the love of god change this summoner spell, no summoner spell should have THAT much of an impact in a game. It's supposed to be used as a special tool to save you when you make a mistake, not remove an entire champion from a fight.. ~Sincerely Talon main who is still salty about the silence nerf but soraka's huge silence pool buff.

man you really make me cry ;D you must have really missunderstood the concept of an assassin. a proficient assassin gets in, takes out his target and gets out. the guy who goes in and dies is a kamikaze-pilot and even if thats also some sort of assassin-ish role, its definitely not how talon or any other assassin in league of legends works.

this is generally how talon works in teamfights: he waits until the action begins and people lose their focus on him, then he runs in with ghostblade and probably flash, jumps on the backline, unleashes his burst and tiamat in one big instant combo and gets the fuck out until his cooldowns are back up. sure talon probably is one of the assassins who are more likely to die, but generally speaking you are not on a suicide mission here.

also, exhaust isnt there to get you out of mistakes. its EXACTLY to take out major threats for a short window of time so you can either ignore or fight them. the only summoner spell designed for real noobs to get out of fuck-ups is flash, but you use that yourself so dont complain.

you probably just need to learn more about your positioning and timing. if janna has all her cooldowns inc. exhaust up, its probably not your timing to jump in yet.

also its funny how you talk about short CDs with talons ultimate literally having 33 seconds cooldown at rank5 with max cdr.

if its so OP, why not use it yourself, doesn't your passive synergize with it?

"Because I'm an assassin. I expect to die after killing my target, if I go in I'm most likely not coming out alive there is no point in taking exhaust."

Bitch you bad at Talon then.

No summoner spell should have a huge impact on the game?

summoner 4 Make plays, initiate, escape.

summoner 14 Increase damage output and secure kills, completely cripples healing champions.

summoner 11 Controls baron and dragon, can decide the game.

summoner 12 Grants massive global map pressure, can turn teamfights, save towers/allies, or contest objectives.

SaltyKracka7/5/2015, 11:08:15 PM1 votes

...OP, you play an assassin with a **75 ** second cooldown on your assassination pattern at its very longest.

If you can't do your thing while Exhaust is on cooldown, that's on you.

Droogzy7/5/2015, 11:12:07 PM1 votes

Was about to say, you're complaining about exhaust cool down when Talon's ultimate/assassination rotation is on a 40 something second cool down?

What?

GM4tL8dFsI7/5/2015, 10:39:43 PM1 votes

Because I'm an assassin. I expect to die after killing my target, if I go in I'm most likely not coming out alive there is no point in taking exhaust.

You can use Talon ult ~4-5 times in the time Exhaust is on cooldown. Not really sure why you think it's so overpowered (other than the fact you main an assassin.)

Craft Zeppelin7/6/2015, 1:18:36 AM1 votes

erm and to top it all, youre invisible when you press ult

Calabok7/6/2015, 1:51:28 AM1 votes

Talon mains should not complain.

Mecha MaIphite7/6/2015, 2:45:22 AM1 votes

Talon literally has the fastest burst of any assassin, you don't even need to stick on to your target because they're already dead within 0.5 seconds.

LordGeovanni7/6/2015, 8:21:45 AM1 votes

assassins have the highest base and scales in the game besides marksmen and the lowest cool down skills and build cdr marksmen always their window of opportunity and they do one combo and wait 2-4 seconds for another combo. assassins have no room to complain on anything no one with hard cc is constanty viable to help beat assassins and you need 2-3 of those guys to beat assassins and the rest of their team

Exhaust is definitely OP, but you are just bad at Talon, OP... :/

Renaille7/15/2015, 3:22:02 AM1 votes

Take Cleanse then. Has the same CD as Exhaust and removes it.

GM4tL8dFsI7/5/2015, 10:56:38 PM1 votes

Okay then remove ignite, it doesn't negate an entire champion. You seem to think your straw mans are equal but they're not at all similar. Exhaust is guaranteed to have value unless you randomly walk up to someone at 1 minute and exhaust them, ignite is not a guarantee.

Taredom7/15/2015, 3:36:31 AM1 votes

Please nerf rock. -Sincerely, scissors.

Basically what you're asking, everything has a counter.

SatedCancer7/5/2015, 10:45:15 PM1 votes

Why should ignite remain so overpowered, that i survive some damage an some random ignites me an i die cause outplayed!!!!!! i agree i hate exhaust, its the bane of being an adc main. i play vayne there is 5 low hp enemys i go with with my ult exhausted fuck@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@
