I am sure we all have our fair dose of anecdotal evidence about the most recent recipients of Riot's touchups, but allow me to provide a bit of statistics.

The first seven of Metalol's Tier 1 champions, in order: Skarner Mordekaiser Fiora Darius Garen Elise Gangplank

Increases in ban rate in the past week: Darius +39.19% Garen +19.99% Fiora +19.47% Mordekaiser +17.88% Gangplank +11.46%

None of these champions fall below top 4 in Role Position from champion.gg. Mordekaiser is the #1 win rate ADC (just let that phrase sink in), at plat and above, boasting a 65% win rate right after his rework! The same is true with Skarner in the jungle, at 55.5%, but then, he's also banned in 80-81% of games. That's permaban status.

Also from champion.gg, the top 5 most banned champions overall are: Skarner, Mordekaiser ADC, Darius, Garen, Fiora.

This is not normal, this is not balanced, and we can't afford to be pigeonholed into bans that leave a good number of other power picks open.

On the subject of ban rate, those you mentioned aren't even close to being challenged for their spots at the top.

We... can't say that for certain.

The statistics on Mordekaiser is a little screwy at the moment, and his win rate may actually be artificially inflated.

Right now, 43.44% of his games are played as ADC, and 17.39% are played top. Several of his games haven't been counted in these statistics, and there is a possibility that this is inflating his ADC win rate because some games (likely ones people lost, I'm guessing? Or just weird off builds, or whatever) are just not counted in his statistics.

There was another thread on this. Anyway, the data is not concrete, it's not completely reliable yet until we got at least 90% (I believe is the minimum for most champions right now?) of his games considered on the site. If we're missing data, we can't make a concrete solution because we're making a flawed conclusion based off flawed data.

Lux, above fiora. At 55% wins from LolKing. And she's played more than anyone else on your list except Garen! In normals too, even.

Despite your personal feelings, this is one of the most balanced patches in a very long time. Heck, even Gangplank on your list has a 46.5% winrate.

EDIT: Stats gained from ranked, incidentally. Lux beats everyone else on average in ranked, although not so in other queues.

What sucks about banning all these brusiers is thag I cannot ban my most hated/frustating champions.

I agree with what you say.

But just as a note, Morde ADC and Morde top are technically the same thing there. They have the same ban rate because they are the same thing. You can't tell if something will go ADC or Top until a match starts.

Ekko was banned a lot on his release too. People play and ban new things every patch out of habit.

It's easier to cheese than learn to counter something.

Is there something on the champs that should be adjusted? Pick/ban rates aren't a strong reason to nerf champs.

Well, of course a lot of these guys are going to have massively increased ban rates if they were pointless to ban in the first place!

I can deal with most of these champions, but not so much mordekaiser and fiora. Them usually being squishy helps tho.

maybe getting 1-2 more bans per team would help? Just an idea.
