Galio is probably going to end up as a support

I'm currently seeing discussion on how he is going to show against mid and top laners, but don't forget that unless he receives a gank, he doesn't have an ultimate, so he has one less ability than the enemy laner. Against an ad champion like Darius or Riven that could mean a death sentence. Now, if we consider that he can hold against most of the popular picks in mid or top, we have two scenarios: 1)He has high enough bases to have a kill potential around level 6. This means, he will be picked as a support and destroy botlane, as he has 3 utility abilities, all three being hard cc. For me it looks like a melee Janna - no matter how you nerf his kit, he would still be relevant because of his utility. Also, we are probably going to see Yasuo+Galio lanes. 2)He doesn't have enough damage to be a threat. Then what's the point him being solo lane? If he will be getting bullied and his only purpose would be to farm and get his skills, then why not just send him to botlane right away? His tankiness is quite situational and is tailored to be effective against AP, and late game tanks are more useful if they build armor against 5-6 item adcs.

So, TL:DR, I think, we just got one more support champion who is good against mage supports, not a solo laner. Or he will become a support after a few patches.
