Just saw that caitlyn counters vayne? http://www.championcounter.com/vayne

Confused because i don't imagine Caitlyn being able to 1v1 Vayne, Especially late game.

You don't have to 1v1 her.

Caitlyn can bully her in the early-game due to her advantage in range and wave control,

Late-game, Caitlyn is better in sieges due to her traps and range.

Don't 1v1 a duelist. That is exactly what they want and giving it to them is plain stupidity.

Because "counters" are not about "come dragn and 1v1 me brahhhhhh!".

Cait outranges Vayne, can safely harass her in lane, chokes the lane with traps, is much safer, accumulates more farm, is likely to get her team first tower, is not dependent on snowballing fights and works well with poke supports who are currently strong. Her range makes her a lot easier to protect in teamfights as well.

Vayne does none of these things.

It's not that she counters her in a one on one, but rather the teams with Caitlin can beat teams with vayne.

Looking at their matchup more specifically Caitlin has opportunities to cc frequently and can zone better than most adc. Vayne works better when she can tumble and move wherever she likes.

Caitlyn outranges Vayne in lane and in the late game. Her traps makes it dangerous for Vayne to tumble where she likes.

A late game Vayne destroys everything and everyone, especially in a 1 v 1 duel. Late game comes, and Caitlyn has to focus on team play in order to keep Vayne down.

Most of Vayne's counters are strong ADC lane bullies like Miss Fortune and Lucian and of course Caityln. Vayne's weakest point is her early game, her laning phase. It's known to be one of, if not the worst laning phases in the game. The point is to keep her down in the early game to keep her away from getting her items and become the late game hyper duelist she's hated for being.

as a cait main, vayne is ezpz shut her down early and mid, vayne has no late game just poke vayne to death, then when she gets stuck in a trap you can finish her off ezpz

Above comments also forgot that Cait ult gives true sight giving a 2 second window for your team to beat Vayne into a pulp because she suddenly cannot stealth.
